Camel Back Plantation by The VERDANT Hospitality - Resort hotel in Kumily - Idukki, India

The location and the exterior was good and looks great on photos. But the service, hygiene and food is very bad. The rooms and toilets are not clean. There were hair strands everywhere in the room we stayed, including the bed sheets and towels. Didn't even want to drink water from that jug in the room. Had food poisoning after having dinner, didn't get stay till the breakfast, but they didn't even turn on the water heaters for us to get ready in the morning.

It was very awasome experience in camelback resort. Staff is helpful and polite. Food was delicious. Overall very good experience.

Room provided for us was in bad condition with spiders,dust, cockroaches .Water quality is also poor.Even drinking water smells bad so that we couldn't even drink that water.Water bottles provided was not even sealed there. No intercom,No wifi signal,No TV also in the room. Overall I had a bitter experience with this hotel and don't recommend.

Nice experience with Camelback plantation resort. We did our tour of Kerala covering Cochin Munnar Eravikulum Idukki Thekkady Periyar Jatayu Kovalam Kumarakom houseboat Alleppey Trivandrum Poovar Eranakulam and 6 hr drive from South to North Kerala. Camelback plantation resort is also not to be missed placed deep in the plantations of Thekkady. We didn't have time else the owner offered to give us a guided tour of his plantation also.. Thanks once again...

This is not a 3 star hotel, owner is a biggest cheater. No wifi, no Intercom, no TV. Rooms are like store rooms, lot of dust on matters, bedsheets and pillows. Horrible experience. Cockroachs and insects roaming in room and washroom. Towels they given smelling like washed with sweat, after complaint they replaced those are also same. Some walls are damaged by water leakage, very bad smell all over the room and washroom. Spider webs around the room, they not even cleaned them. There is no guarantee they'll provide washed towels bedsheets. Faced Skin irritation all over body after waking up. Not at all recommend, don't even try for booking. Owner just ignoring any complaint given, not at all giving respect to customers.. Very rude.. Rooms given to us 103&104, but no boards on doors so we don't know actual room numbers, rooms given for us in separate building, that building has only 2 rooms. Don't dare to stay in these rooms.

The rooms were good and it was a very calm place to relax and enjoy. However, these rooms were located in the interior place and not located on the main road. And we had breakfast and it was an average quality.

No wifi connection and no signal will not be there. No kettle in the room. We have to say dinner order at 6:00pm only. But environment is nyc.
