The apartment is fully furnished and so so well maintained that ull not feel like to go outside.
I strongly recommend to have your stay here if you are in south Goa varka beach the best beach is just 500 m away.
Calvin's retreat is part of the apartments complex casa varda. It's a good place. But, the apartments are sparse in the community. So, you get bad Wi-Fi. Security guards behave like cops. No guests. Hot water comes at it's own time. There are good and bad about the place. Beach is near. But, you need to climb steps to reach. There are no good beach shacks. It's more for private and leisure.
We had booked the 3bhk villa for 5 days for 10 people . The villa was huge and spacious. Well maintained villa with all the amenities available. Staff were very humble and service was great. The property is well developed and has greenery all around. Its worth the money we paid. I would recommend this homestay
I booked through Airbnb. Vitika was a lovely lady who helped us with everything we need. She also helped us with a reference for a phone number for a very quickly arriving taxi, and food delivery in 25 minutes As the washing machine was slightly faulty, she washed and returned my clothes for me very promptly. It was a short walk into the local area, but it can be quite hot so a taxi is worth it in the heat. The room is simple and not too fancy, but it has everything you need including a water filter, tv, wifi etc.
Staff were very humble . Nice place to stay. I would recommend this homestay.
Be aware when you are booking rooms from online portals like Agoda or any other service which doesn't collect the booking amount upfront but collect your card details and "confirm" the booking. I had a very unpleasant experience with this property, I was under the impression that booking is confirmed and the hotel can collect the amount at anytime, but the properly had sent an email the previous day of check-in asking for 50% of the booking amount, which I missed, since I don't check Gmail very often and everything was confirmed from my point of view (atleast they could've called on phone).
So after we reached properly, these people said that, since I've not paid the advance, they have already given the room to somebody else and there are no other rooms available. There is no reception or anyone to speak inside this properly, everything is managed through a phone call and we waited for 2 hours outside and no-one responded properly. I had to roam around and ask the neighbouring hotels for availability and in online also everything was showing full. It was very frustrating for me and my parents. Thankfully got a better hotel after searching for couple of hours.
We booked Villa for one day in the name of Balasavitri Gaonkar and had a good time. This place is very beautiful,neat and organized. MR.Javed has invested lot of time and effort in decorating his Villa I must say. Each corner has its own story. Though we had issues with the AC I would like to give 5 star for the incredible place. Name in the booking was Tanvikkumar Valiya. Worstest service i have ever get at this proparty. We got housekeeping onece in a 2 days and if we are using kitchen accessories then we have to clean our selves. All doors of the washroom are broken and not to be locked from inside. We booked for 6 person and we asked for a extra bed and they also charged for thtat and they didn't provide a extra bed we have to sleep on living room sofa.
