I would say the best place I have tasted pork. Wouldn't mind driving all the way from Bangalore, just for the pork. Amazing food
Good spot for friends and family dine-in. So many varieties of dishes to choose from. We've tried their pastas and soups many times. I would suggest their Alfredo pasta as a must try dish. The property has a nice ambiance too. Service is usually quick. They have a parking area near their entrance
Filthy atmosphere. Food was just a mixture of colour in a masala base. (had rice, paneer, mixed veg and chapati). Will never ever visit or recommend this... its not at all hygienic or healthy... thats the point... let alone taste.
Well, I really loved this place, first thing when you park your vehicle you notice the shack like ambiance, which is stunning, a huge seating place, garden ambiance, and very good quality food. Pork was excellent specially the Coorgi Pork. The best part is that the let you get drinks from outside, so it's total fun. Service is good, and when i say price and value for money, it's well priced, I do recommend.
Amidst the green surroundings and open cool and crisp air ambience lies a quaint place known to never ending tourist footfalls. We were greeted by smiling owner Mr. Appaiah and friendly staff. The staff were very friendly throughout the evening, when the time came for ordering the menu card had a plethora of both continental and intercontinental offerings. Additionally dishes unique to Coorg. Each dish we tried was simply out of this world without losing it's authentic taste. Please visit if you want a Goa shack vibe in Coorg with good music, great taste and luscious green view.
Lovely place! The food was great, and very reasonably priced. The ambience is very picturesque, with bridges over a brook leading you to the machan like seating area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their menu suggestions were spot on. A must visit if you're on your way to Virajpet.
Good ambience but worst food. We ordered french fries, dragon chicken and broccoli soup. The soup was some sought of paste of broccoli and it tasted very bad. French fries were burnt on the outside and inside it tasted like raw potato and was very oily. We couldn't eat the thick ones at all we just left it there. The dragon chicken tasted normal but the taste was not of dragon chicken. It was like some other chicken dish. We even found a dead insect inside the soup and the waiter denied telling that it was not an insect, We Just kept the remaining soup untouched. Wouldn't suggest this place for good food. Not at all worth for the money . RESPONSE FOR THE REPLY FROM OWNER : Hi sir, I'm from Kerala, I don't know you or neither have I visited your cafe before. The above review was based on my first visit to your cafe. We were very hungry and came to your cafe around 3:15pm. We decided to come to cafe Hay Shack based on the Google search and the reviews I saw for your cafe. We were very happy with the ambience we got at the moment we visited your place but when the food came and we tasted it, we were very disappointed. We also felt wierd after finding the insect in the soup. We literally paid 540RS for the food we didn't like a bit. I don't have any personal grudge on you or your cafe. You are just an unknown for me. I just told about what I experienced at your cafe. Please don't put a reply mentioning about family. Not a good business ethics. Please try to improve on the food you serve from the feedback that you get meanwhile rather than replying nonsense. Thank you and all the best.
