Cafe Green Saragarhi Sarai - Cafe in Amritsar, Amritsar Cantt. - Amritsar, India

Title: Disappointing Experience at Saragarhi Sarai, Amritsar I recently stayed at Saragarhi Sarai in Amritsar, managed by SGPC. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The sewadars at the reception were unhelpful, and upon entering the room, we discovered cleanliness issues such as stained bedsheets, hair, rusted shower head, and mold on the walls. Regrettably, we weren't allowed to see the room before payment. Considering the significant donations SGPC receives, the state of the accommodation is disappointing. I wouldn't recommend staying here and hope for improved service in the future.

One of the best, convenient and affordable place to stay if you are visiting Golden Temple. Walkable distance form the main parking and Darbar Sahib. Haveli restaurant on the ground floor serves great food, one can order in the room as well. Rooms are very clean, lift also there as this sarai has 9 floors. One can book the rooms from there website, but on most of occasions it will show as full. One needs to be lucky to get the room by visiting sarai itself, pre booking is advisable.

Excellent food and snacks are served at this cafe. There is no need to go outside to get any item.

Rooms are good given the cost. Food is a bit costly and decent. It would take a little bit effort to make it better. Service is a bit slow. Location is good, but if you have senior citizens travelling for Harmandar Sahib, choose a hotel more closer to the gurudwara. Connectivity with the bargain autos is just few steps away. The location has people walking by is almost round the clock.

This is very disapppointing that you can only book it online within 15 mins, as website only work for hardly 15 mins in night . Someone advised to pay 1500 rs., if we need a reservation, which I believe is a business going on between outside guy and receptionist.. This is not sarai.. This is a personal hotel

It's an amazing Hotel to stay You must be very lucky to get STay here... Rooms are almost full Neat and clean area.. 12 PM. Checkout time. Room till Ninth floor ... Amazing architecture .. Reasonable rates ... 1000rs only...

Rude ,unprofessional, uneducated aggressive behaviour of MR Ranjit or Ranjeet Singh at Reception desk . I am NRI , We simple went with family ( child age 6&4) to Darbar sahib and asked at saragarhi Sarah for room to stay because it was showing online fully booked. Ranjit replied in very bad manner that there is no rooms , go away , no chance to get room in insulting way. After within 2-5 minutes one of my known who tried to help us used his reference/links and then same guy wave hand and gave us card key for room and we stayed in Sarah. Even you have to pay RS 1000 per night still you need reference for room , it is big shame . It means who don't have links or connection they have no rights to live . Shame shame shame
