Title: Unpleasant Experience - Improperly Cleaned Prawns I recently dined at Cafe Firdos, and I regret to say that my experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue that marred my meal was the improper cleaning of prawns in the dish I ordered. Upon receiving my order, it was immediately evident that the prawns were not adequately cleaned. There were remnants of intestinal veins in several prawns, which not only affected the taste but also raised concerns about food safety. Consuming prawns with undeveloped digestive tracts is not only unappetizing but also poses potential health risks. I brought this matter to the attention of the restaurant staff, but unfortunately, the response was lackluster at best. Proper hygiene and food preparation should be a top priority for any dining establishment, and it was disappointing to see this standard not met. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique for Cafe Firdos to improve their food quality and service. Until such improvements are made, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. Cleanliness and food safety are non-negotiable in the culinary industry, and it's important for all patrons to have confidence in the food they are served.
Read reviews and with a mixed feeling went inside. Place is clean and with positive vibes.. Ordered chicken naan sandwich , naan was a better form of pav, soft n tasty, was filled with pieces of chicken mixed in spicy onions n tomotoes paste like stuff. Had been better if it was more chicken n less stuffed with onions n masala. For 40 rs it was worth it. Second I ordered chai which was classical mumbaiya chai.. kadakk n sweet as every other chai we get in mumbai. Third I ordered caramel custard n it was a delight to eat. It was so good that I can come again for eating it as I like such sweet bakery items. Chai for Rs 15/ custard for RS 65. Attaching pictures of the same.
Good moghlai food .this place is more than 100 years old remember coming here with nani. Prices are so n so. The staff is good.the owner is a gentleman. Just near crawford market this no frill place is good for a meal.

Cafe Firdos is a nice restaurant for quick bites. Good food and good service. I have been here twice now and this place is good. The Baida Roti is quite good. What is the best is the price. Price is very very reasonable. Do try if you are around Crawford Market.
This cafe used to be amazing but I reckon that post-covid it has lost its charm. Nonetheless, a good place to try if one doesn't wish to burn a hole in the pocket.
One of the traditional restaurant in the bustling city, they leave you content with the food and service. A cuisine which is a delight for all the foodies who look for authentic mughal cuisine with the traditional touch. The place was very neat and clean with friendly staff and also have a separate section for family. The food is fresh and very budget friendly. I had Chicken Afghani, 3 Tandoori Rotis, a 300ml thumbs up and a Caramel Custard all for "JUST 249". And I have a genuine happy tummy face on and so does my wallet. Must try place!
