The place has a great ambiance, the artwork and store are highly curated. Each corner has a different and unique type of art taste. It's a heritage French house tastefully converted/restored into a cafe. The food is decent not really exceptional as such. Visit for the ambiance, the store, to take photos, meet friends, and enjoy the space.
Food Portion for the platter could have been a bit better. Taste wise it was good. Lime Soda was refreshing . Atmosphere was very cozy, washroom is clean. As we checked out early morning didn't faced any queues. The only issues they have is the open drainage and I think that is the issue exists all over the puducherry. So while entering the famous yellow wall painting you see it is just beside an open drain.
Cafe des Arts, known for its charming ambience, left me with mixed feelings during my visit. While the cafe's setting and atmosphere lived up to the hype, the culinary experience fell slightly short. Starting with the positives, the croissants at Cafe des Arts were delightful. They were fresh, flaky, and lived up to my expectations. Additionally, the eggs dishes were prepared well and met my expectations in terms of taste and quality. I particularly enjoyed the cold espresso, which provided a refreshing pick-me-up. The flavors were well-balanced, making it a satisfying beverage choice. However, one downside of Cafe des Arts was its limited menu, especially when it came to vegetarian options. The countable vegetarian choices might disappoint those looking for more variety. It would be great if the cafe could expand its menu to cater to a wider range of dietary preferences. Another area of improvement is the service, which was disappointingly slow. The wait times for orders and receiving attention from the staff were longer than expected. This sluggish service detracted from the overall dining experience. Although the food did not completely live up to the hype, the ambience at Cafe des Arts was undeniably captivating. The cafe offers both indoor seating and an open lawn, providing options for guests to enjoy their meals in a pleasant environment.
I visited this place recently, and it left me with mixed feelings. The vintage interior has vibes that transport you to another era, creating a unique ambiance. However, my experience was spoiled by a few drawbacks. Firstly, the food didn't meet my expectations. It fell short of the standards I had hoped for, leaving me somewhat disappointed. Additionally, for vegetarians, the menu was quite limited, offering limited choices and options. Another drawback was the slow service. It took longer than expected to get our orders. One thing that puzzled me was the long queues. I couldn't understand why people were willing to wait for up to 45 minutes to dine here. Food : 2 Service : 2 Ambiance : 5
Late post alert. I have known this cafe, ever since they were at the beach road. Back then, they had this zeal to serve, amazing ambience, vibe and definitely better food. This time, I felt that food wasn't up to the mark and the service was slow and felt like no one cared.
What a lovely place! The vintage vibe, the decor, the place was just fantastic. Initially I was scared of visiting the place for lunch as there was no ac and it was quite hot that day. But maybe because it's a vintage house, it was quite cool inside and we really enjoyed it. The food was good, however we didn't realise it's a cafe and not a lunch place and hence had to just be happy with some sandwiches. Overall, lovely place and a must visit!
Cafe des Art in Pondicherry offers a captivating antique ambience that transports you to another era. The charm of the decor adds a unique touch to the dining experience. As for breakfast, it stands out as the best in Pondicherry, with a diverse menu inspired by French cuisine that caters to various tastes. To fully enjoy your visit, arriving early is advisable, as the cafe tends to get crowded shortly after its 9:00 AM opening. Don't miss the opportunity to capture memories against their famous graffiti walls, known for creating picturesque moments. Overall, a delightful spot blending French culinary inspiration, history, great food, and a dash of artistic flair.
Had the egg & mayo sandwich which was great and fried tofu sandwich here which was ok here. This place has a really great vibe and it's great for getting away from the pondicherry heat to relax and grab a quick bite to eat. They initially got one of our orders wrong but they rectified it immediately and the service was pretty quick.
Extremely clean and hygienic place and a stop to grab some quick bites. Great taste and the owner is equally humble and polite. Must visit place to grab some quick snacks at pondicherry.
The owner is the sweetest man! The filter coffee and the chai were AMAZING! Totally recommend coming here:) They made us feel so welcomed even though we came knocking at 6 in the morning.
The tea and coffee taste good...and the snacks are just as good if not better...! Quick service...cheap menu...! If you are looking for a quick cup of coffee...and a bite to eat...you can't go wrong with this store...! Only negative I can think of is

I don't know why it's not mentioned in the list of top cafes in Pondi. It is one of the best cafes I have ever visited. It's a small little cute cafe, food tastes amazing. Their Chocolate Croissant is a must must try.
We had breakfast today morning here. It's very near to the rock beach. Ideal place for a light breakfast. Tried the grilled veg sandwich with black and normal tea. Prices are reasonable and the best part is it opens as early as 8:30am. Highly recomm
This is the best gym where I've never experienced such great care and support from trainers. I've come here for fitness where they not only give workouts but also other activities like Zumba, yoga, cross fit, etc. and I'm feeling good about myself. I
