It is a good cafe to spend time with friends and family.
A coffeehouse, coffee shop, or cafe is an establishment that primarily serves various types of coffee, espresso, latte, and cappuccino. Some coffeehouses may serve cold drinks, such as iced coffee and iced tea, as well as other non-caffeinated beverages. A coffeehouse may also serve food, such as light snacks, sandwiches, muffins, fruit, or pastries. In continental Europe, some cafes also serve alcoholic beverages. Coffeehouses range from owner-operated small businesses to large multinational corporations. Some coffeehouse chains operate on a franchise business model, with numerous branches across various countries around the world.
While cafe may refer to a coffeehouse, the term "cafe" generally refers to a diner, British cafe (colloquially called a "caff"), "greasy spoon" (a small and inexpensive restaurant), transport cafe, teahouse or tea room, or other casual eating and drinking place.[1][2][3][4][5] A coffeehouse may share some of the same characteristics of a bar or restaurant, but it is different from a cafeteria. Many coffeehouses in the Middle East and in West Asian immigrant districts in the Western world offer shisha (actually called nargile in Levantine Arabic, Greek, and Turkish), flavored tobacco smoked through a hookah. An espresso bar is a type of coffeehouse that specializes in serving espresso and espresso-based drinks.
From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: a coffeehouse provides patrons with a place to congregate, talk, read, write, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups. A coffeehouse can serve as an informal club for its regular members. As early as the 1950s Beatnik era and the 1960s folk music scene, coffeehouses have hosted singer-songwriter performances, typically in the evening.
The most common English spelling cafe, is the French, Portuguese, and Spanish spelling, and was adopted by English-speaking countries in the late 19th century. The Italian spelling, caffe, is also sometimes used in English. In Southern England, especially around London in the 1950s, the French pronunciation was often facetiously altered to /kaef/ and spelt caff.
The English words coffee and cafe derive from the Italian word for coffee, caffe--first attested as cavee in Venice in 1570--and in turn derived from Arabic qahwa (qhw@). The Arabic term qahwa originally referred to a type of wine, but after the wine ban by Islam, the name was transferred to coffee because of the similar rousing effect it induced. European knowledge of coffee (the plant, its seeds, and the drink made from the seeds) came through European contact with Turkey, likely via Venetian-Ottoman trade relations.
The English word cafe to describe a restaurant that usually serves coffee and snacks rather than the word coffee that describes the drink, is derived from the French cafe. The first cafe in France is believed to have opened in 1660. The first cafe in Europe is believed to have been opened in Belgrade, Serbia in 1522 as a Kafana (Serbian coffee house).
The translingual word root /kafe/ appears in many European languages with various naturalized spellings, including Portuguese, Spanish, and French (cafe); German (Kaffee); Polish (kawa); Serbian (kafa / kafa); Ukrainian (kava, 'kava'); and others.
The place is very good , they provide a guitar (though it was not in a very good condition). Their exotic radio collection was very nostalgic. Though you can't find any network in the cafe. The coffee was very good. And the best thing , you can smoke here
Today I went their with my niece and brother, when I entered the cafe their is loud music so I asked to the staff lower the volume but they didn't do so I felt like they just want to do what they feel and they are not concerned about the guest and feeling....
The ambience is lit out here , a good place to hangout
Finally a casual place in Kurseong for the youth. Good contemporary ambience/interiors with upcycled/industrial finish. Serves flavoured hookah. Menu needs to incorporate non vegetarian food options as well, as of now, only veg. Adding a few salads or wraps should also be good. Would be good if we see some more fresh & healthy fast food options, free from preservatives or added sugars
Vegetarian food is avaliable here. You have to try Masala tea and margritta pizza with peri peri fries.
It's really a great cafe..maintained really well.. Have a great ambience
Ambience is admirable but the service is very undervalued. Seen locals drinking alcoholic beverages but they don't serve it to outsiders.

We stayed at the Dream Home Stay for 4 days. It took us 1.5 hours from Bagdogra airport, with a breakfast and a couple of viewpoint stops on the way.
