Got married in this church 41 years ago. It used to be such a wonderful place to come, worship and celebrate special occasions. Yesterday, attended a wedding in this same church. Surprised to see it is not being maintained the same way as it was done earlier. Saw many pigeons staying inside the church and its dropping in most of the pillars. Even the rattan netting in some of the sitting area is broken which has been covered with plywood. Request both the church authorities and congregation to take necessary action so that the church retains the old glory.
The church is really peaceful place. The structure of the church is amazing and very heart soothing. I sat here for an hour with no mobile and that feeling was on an another level. I felt peace and really awesome. It is A clean and hygienic place. Must visit it once, if your are planning for Chennai.
A very beautiful church with ornate detailing and neo classical style architecture. The church is peaceful and the Christmas decorations is one of the best in Chennai.
Its is CSI church and bishop is appointed here. Having a big garden and fountains at entrance, very well maintained. Chapel is splendid and big enough Nearly 600 people can gather. Frontal architecture are quite a scene. Also there is a cemetery inside. Ample space for car parking.
It is such a big Church situated in the heart of the city just beside the American Consulate and opposite to Senmmozhi Poonga ( Nungambakkam) It is easily accessible via Mount road or Cathedral Road. The premise itself is too big with parking space and big garden with lots of small plants and trees. The inside of the church is beautiful. I visited during Christmas and the decorations were awesome. Nice place to visit within the city. So peaceful inside amidst the hustle bustle.
A very pleasant and peaceful place to pray, and relaxing our mind from all tensions and all. It's a suggested place, for me, surely. And a wonderful and well-maintained Cemetery is also there to visit, which is properly maintaining by the Church Authority...
The watchman on duty today was extorting money out of tourists and is rude and discriminatory. I request the authority to kindly take action since we don't deserve such treatment for being foreigners. This is ridiculous and was way out of line.
