In the 1880s my great-grandfather Johannes Petrus Knausenberger was missionary of Basel Evangelical Missionary Society in Hubli. During my researches I found this old photo of the church.

This is a protestant church belongs to Church of South India under Karnataka Northern Dioceses. One of the oldest church in Hubli-Dharwad with a rich history of over 180 years. This church was established by a missionary from Germany named Maier, hence the name "Maier Memorial Church." With approximately 5000 family membership it is also the biggest congregational church of KND. One of the best place to worship God snd feel His presence.
