West facing gate of Shree Jagannath Temple complex is called the Tiger Gate (byaaghr dvaar)/ West/Western Gate (pshcim dvaar) and also known as the Khanja Gate (khNj dvaar). It named after the symbolic animal representation at the gate. Dharma (dhrm) is one of the four ways by which one can reach Shree Jagannath. Tiger is the symbol of Dharma. It is an important part of sanatan (Hindu) way of lifestyle. In each and every moment one to has to adhere with Dharma.
