The restaurant service is very very poor. We really had a bad experience with them. The Dal Makhni they gave which was over cooked. And most important the bill, they created the just double bill and giving an excuse of software. Even the manager was so rude and said you have checked now, we will correct it, else they wait for customer to check else they have no intention of creating the correct bill. They have add things we really did not order also. Even the staff is saying 4 Mineral bottle used and they charged us 8 bottles. 4 Main course dishes ordered and bill was of 6. Please beware of the bills they charging. Really Really Bad Experience and ruining the Name of Rudarpur Oldest Hotel Sonia.

Good place for a stopover if you are heading to Nainital, Almora, Kasar etc. Prices are decent, especially in comparison to Delhi/NCR. Alcohol is naturally expensive, particularly if you are going for hard liquors. Pool side siting is availaible with water coolers and the pool looked clean for a dip though was closed. Would remove half star as food wasn't especially great in taste, but still good enough. The quantity for the dishes we ordered was quite satisfactory. All in all a pleasant experience considering the good service and great ambience.
