It's the main jungle corridor of Northern West Bengal, covering 760 km2 with almost 18 ranges. This Buxa tiger reserve and forest is mostly consist of tropical rainforest and Savannah vegetation due to heavy rainfall. Weather is temperate in all the seasons and suitable for different types of flora. The main attraction for tourists is JUNGLE SAFARI in moderate cost with guide.
It's Situated in Alipore duar district, quite near from Bhutan border. Best time to visi Buxa is December to February. There are at least 73 mammal species include Indian leopard, Bengal tiger, clouded leopard, giant squirrel, gaur, chital and wild boar. Wildlife Safari is remain closed during monsoon season. It will be resumed from September. If somebody wants to drive through the forest he needs to spend 400Rs for car permit & 120Rs per person for one day.

Awesome place to chill with friends and family. Though you can't get cell phone network there. It is rarely avaiable. And it is a tiger reserve but keep your Expectations low as the number of tigers are very very less now... Awesome place. Go and visit.
