Butterfly Park - Park in Dadra, Khanvel - Dadra And Nagar Haveli, India

Butterflies have stirred the imagination of people for ages by their grace and beauty. The exuberance of colours has been a fascination. As children, we grow up with stories of butterfly and the metamorphosis of a caterpillar. However, not much attention is paid to the habitat and behavior of the butterfly and variety of its species. The butterfly park will thus generate awareness and compassion for these creatures. It will also be an important place for the conservation of this quickly depleting species.

Visited on Saturday around 12 noon . Not so crowded. I saw 7-8 different species of butterflies. Overall a good experience. A lot of nilgiri trees are there. If you are lucky enough you might see a flock of butterflies sitting on a single branch of a tree . Also I noticed as it's an open space for the public and basically any can enter and spend time in this place. I saw a lot of college students doing PDA around the park. I am just saying don't ruin the place's sanity. And one more that I didn't like is that, they're small huts kind of things built inside the park and local students are celebrating their birthday parties there, leaving leftovers,boxes, plastic bags there inside the shed only. So you can literally see the dirt , decomposing food ,foam sprays just lying around inside the shed. Please maintain the cleanliness, it's our duty to maintain our parks clean.

As it's name, Butterfly park is full of various types of butterflies flying all over the best garden full of flowers and trees. This is a very good maintained garden in Khanvel, very beautiful and peaceful. If you like photography, this can even sharpen your skills as you get mesmerising photos. Do not miss if you are in Khanvel. Entry is free and you can spend an hour or so with family. Overall well time spent. Recommended to visit this place

So much butterflies in this garden. You can feel the plants and really a very calm place, fresh air and you can enjoy with the nature. Very well maintained garden/park. And a lots of different types of butterfly you can see on the plants.

It is big enough. It is green, calm and pleasant. No entry ticket. Different types of Butterflies can be seen. There are covered sitting areas also. Watch tower was closed.

Good place for kids and youngs ... Beautiful butterflies all over .. loved it

The garden is well maintained. There is lush greenery everywhere and a nice footpath is laid out to take a tour and alongside footpath there is information of various butterflies. I went there in june just before the rains and there was not much to see. We only saw 2 or 3 types of butterflies. You can click photos and entry is free.

First impression Pleasantly surprised to find that there is no entrance fee. The size of the park. Butterfly park is conceived with some thought and adequately maintained. It is huge with many large old trees. They are flowering plants planted on both sides of walking trail and off course there are butterflies. There is nice parking if you wish to visit by car. And there is a heritage centre just opposite side.
