Bunkyard lake view hostel & cafe - Backpacker Hostel in Hawala Kalan, Udaipur - Udaipur, India

Great hostel in a perfect location, everything is in walking distance and the staff are super friendly and 10/10. View from the rooftop is perfect too and the beds in the rooms are comfortable and offer good privacy. There are backpackers staying here too which is a plus for those wanting to make friends. Would definitely stay here again and good value for money

We had the loveliest time here! The rooms were kept incredibly clean and there were separate fans for each bed. Kush the guy in charge was so so kind, I got sick from a resteraunt in udaipur and he brought me fruit in the morning the rooftop was super nice! It's the highest rooftop in the area and a lovely cafe too. The staff are so helpful too! Really great value ! Couldn't reccomend more, we stayed way longer than we meant to and they we so accommodating and kind

The double room was incredible! Felt like a fancy hotel room with a fridge/freezer, towels provided and a miniature balcony facing the lake. The rooftop is the highest out of any surrounding buildings so affords lovely views. They could do with building some shade is the only thing. Overall a very enjoyable stay

It has been a pleasure to stay at Bunkyard hostel. We initially planned to stay for two days but extended by 5 more. We had never a dull moment while staying at this hostel. The hostel staff always helped us to determine our Udaipur itinerary for the day, from hikes with great views to cooking classes. We met so many great people while having a beer on the roof top. The rooftop was a great place to finish our day, enjoying the sun setting behind the hills while enjoying great food and drinks. We were especially impressed by the kindness of the hostel's staff. They were really helpful in facilitating the rest of our journey. This was easily the best place that we stayed at in India.

Amazing view offered from the rooftop. The activities hosted at the hostel were so fun. It was our first time to stay in a hostel and didn't know what to expect but we didn't regret our decision to stay there at all

Amazing food, Amazing people, amazing vibes! Rooftop was the best to enjoy sunset, lush hosted some great activities on Diwali and great hospitality by him. Also surely gonna visit again to meet Kush

I have travelled 15 countries and lived in hostels throughout Europe. I wanted to experience hostel culture in my own country and this was my first hostel experience. I purposely chose this one versus other hostels as it appeared to have those vibes I had in hostels in Europe. It was as I had expected. A proper international hostel. Basically, it's not a hotel. You have to be responsible and adjust to sharing with strangers. In return, you make tons of new friends. I did and do did everyone. If you are uncomfortable sharing a bathroom, this is not a place for you. If you want to chill and enjoy the vibe of this lake city, this is the place to be. Also, it has probably the best view in Udaipur. The vibe though is what you should come here for

Excellent safety concerns being followed by kush and great comfortable environment. We loved our stay here and are surely gonna be back here. Lovely experience and cleanest hostel ever seen in india.
