Bunk House Fort Kochi - Backpacker Hostel in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

The best and most affordable stay in fort Kochi. This 300 yrs old building is well maintained and it is air conditioned. Service was excellent. Mohammad is the guy you will have to look up for, he will be for help at any time. This hostel is close to most of the must visit places. Best place for budget travellers and you will get to meet many people across the globe. Most recommended.

The hostel rooms are very clean and has a beautiful design. The lounge room is super comfortable and have a artistic style. The bathrooms could be more cleaner and better looking.the look is old and could be renovated. The staff is extremely helpful they assist you in anything U need. Very loud music in the lounge is very common. That did annoyed me.allot..because I.would not have the concentration to read a book or have a phone conversation..or to work on my leptop.. other then that if you want a hostel with good care choose this one.. they will make you feel welcome and it's definitely worth the price

Stayed for a couple of nights at Bunk House & totally loved it. The dorms are clean & spacious. The linens, pillows and sheets are provided fresh and clean. There's a locker to keep your valuables and lock them away. The common areas are vibrant & has a lot of stuff to occupy yourself with. There's some music always being played by someone. The washroom were functional but is one area that can be improved. Adding a geyser is another recommendation I'd make. Mohammad is a great host & went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Right from accommodating our request to check in at 5AM, to helping us out with our itinerary to helping us rent bikes to recommending the most beautiful Kayaking trip, Mohammad was there to help with everything. Met some interesting, friendly people here & will definitely look to go back soon :)

Nice place with a peaceful vibe. Dorms are spacious and clean. ppl who want to work have access to high speed Internet. location is prime have so many cafes nearby. The street hostel is located on has a really good vibe. The manager Mo is very nice and helpful. Mo will make sure you have the best time at hostel :)) planning on coming back here soon.

A heritage building converted to a hostel. Located in a very peaceful & posh location in the heart of Fort Kochi. Stayed in both dorm & private rooms. Room & the dorm are well maintained, well light & have good air-conditioners. Adequately furnished considering the tariff. Linens used were very good compared to the usual dorm standards. Common areas are impressive & well designed. They have 2 separate dining areas - smoking & non smoking ones... They have almost everything you need. So you can travel light. Manager Mohammed was very responsive & helpful over calls & in person too. Though I changed my dates, he was completely okay to it - being off season. Having stayed in many backpackers dorms across India, all that I feel is that if you can slightly improve/maintain your restrooms better & include a geyser, you'll have the potential to become one of the best dorms in India.

My Stay at the bunk house was a total blast! It's been one of my most wholesome stays, filled with incredible people and happy memories. The staff is fantastic, the stay is comfy, and the whole space has this cool and trippy vibe. It's been an absolute joy to be part of such a fun and enjoyable experience!

I stayed here for almost a week. It was a pleasant experience. WiFi is too good so I could work without any interruptions. You also get basic food, tea and coffee which are quite reasonable. Location is the best, very close to beach and other tourist places. I couldn't enjoy the vibe much here as I was fully occupied with work, but I felt it is good place to socialise and have fun. The hosts and staffs are very friendly and welcoming.

I had booked the 8-bed mixed dorm for 2 days in the month of August. Good things: The room is clean and has AC. The host is friendly. Location is perfect as it is near the beach and you can get ferry to Ernakulam and Vypin easily. Small markets and some good restaurants are nearby. Bike & bicycle rentals are at walking distance. Bad things: The food service is not available in the Dorm. But you can get coffee or tea (at a high price).
