Jallianwala incident is one of the most barbaric incidents in the history of India. A historical place which reminds you the cruelty of British Army during British rule. This place is just 500m away from Golden Temple.
Here one can also see the marks of gunshots fired on the wall. As a matter of fact, near to 1,650 bullets were fired and more than 379 innocent people were massacred on that day.
Awesome historical destination for the tourists. The bullet marks are clearly visible. Also it has a restaurant and a Martyr's well besides it. Truly feels amazing while watching those bullet marks remembering the sacrifice and patriotism of the great freedom fighters.

The Jallianwala Bagh site is witness to one of the most brutal incidents that took place during the Indian freedom struggle. On the day of Baishaki, on 13th April 1919 around 10,000 people had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh to protest peacefully against the oppressive Rowllat Act. General Dyer ordered his army of 150 soldiers to open fire at the crowd. As the only exit point was blocked and the walls of the park were beyond the reach of the people, the innocent people were trapped helplessly before the spraying bullets. After 15 minutes and 1650 rounds of firing, 400 people were killed on the spot, which included some children. The 1500 wounded people were left to die in the pool of their own blood.
The park is a memorial site now to pay homage to those thousands of innocent and helpless people. The bullet holes can be seen on the preserved walls and adjoining buildings to this day.
Must visit place if you are in amritsar
It is the Memorial which commemorates the sacrifices of hundreds of men, women and children who were victims of ruthless firing of the British forces. The incident took place on April 13, 1919, when thousands of people had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh to voice their feelings against the repressive policies of the British Government. General Dyer tried to silence the gathered crowd with volleys of bullets which, according to official estimates, took a toll of 397 lives and wounded another 1,200 persons. We stood for a moment in the soil where many people shed blood for the freedom of India.

The first visual of the temple gives you goosebumps since you feel you are part of history and something bigger. Besides the beautiful grandeur of the temple, the real beauty lies behind the walls in the kitchen where thousands of meals are prepared
What a beautiful, serene place this is. It filled me with awe, not just the buildings, which are breathtaking, but with their serving free food, without any discrimination, to around 100000 people per day. Everybody is welcome to eat there. We did
