Make a reservation, do not turn up without one otherwise you may have a long wait! The food was superb, the portions are large, so be prepared to share dishes unless you are VERY hungry or greedy. The food is also quite pricey, so also another good reason to share. The Indian sparkling wine was delicious and the dessert sent me to heaven. I found the seating uncomfortable, but otherwise the decor is nice. The atmosphere is lacking something, not sure what.
Bukhara is not just a restaurant, it's almost a historical place. A place that has stood the teest of time for almost 4 decades and never felt threatened by competition. They have never changed their menu and have hosted the who's who of the world including Mr Bill Clinton. The Dal Bukhara priced at 1000++ is something that has become synonymous with this place is so creamy and gpes well with the Bukhara Naan priced at 2200++. The Reshmi kebabs (Almost like a small portion of Sikandari Raan) , the paneer tikka and Bharwa Aloo are nice too. The kulfi and Rasmalai were killer though. For six of us for this much food the bill came to around 23700/- but then this is Bukhara. .
The place is good with full of positive vibes and great energy. Staffs are polite and attending. The food tastes good- simple, authentic and flavourful. It's based on the theme of frontier kitchen. The ambience is vibrant. We spent a great time with our family and will love to visit the place again.
Wherever we ended up in the country, people knew about this restaurant, and it's clear it's built up quite the reputation, and deservedly so. We stumbled upon it by accident the first time around but it quickly became clear it was somewhere special, from the photos of dining celebrities on the wall and a host of awards and press articles. The decor also immediately makes an impression for feeling really authentic - low tables and fabric stools, with bare brick walls and lots of hidden nooks to the dining area make it unique alone. The tables are laid well, with traditional feeling plates, napkins and copper cups for the complimentary water which is frequently brought. It was a shame there were no menus, instead with us directed to use a mobile device and QR code. While the menu isn't the largest this still makes it more difficult to read. While not awfully great with English, the staff were happy to try offer recommendations and explain some of the dishes. There's the full drink menu which you'll find in the rest of the hotel bars / restaurants and all the service is very fast and professional. The food is well presented and also brought in good time. What I still cannot get over though are the flavours - truly amazing. You must absolutely order the daal which remains the most memorable dish from my entire visit to the country, and the different breads are equally as impressive. If you can get a table near the kitchen seeing these breads prepared is a delight but with the popularity you're never in a position to debate where you're sat! It's certainly not a cheap place, and more suited to special occasions, but if you're in the area you must try it out. It's so good we had to return a couple of days later and I'd do so again!
I finally got a reservation at this famous restaurant Bukhara ! Most of the food was quite delicious , lots of different flavours all mixed together is such harmony . The big naan bread was very disappointing as it was quite dry and flavourless, but it looked quite spectacular as they brought it out and then placed it in the middle of the table. We took the set menu option A , We had more food than we could finish . But my favorite part was the desert . Some delicious ice cream . Overall , I was happy to have tried this restaurant that I had waited for such a long time . The price is more on the steep side . ( but I guess this has become the new Normal) The service was at first confusing and frustrating , but our waiter was quite a nice gentleman and we finally were able to order . One thing that I found to be odd was that they expected us to eat the food with our fingers as no cutlery was provided . As a courteous they gave us some .
Disappointing. Food quality and taste was FAR BELOW EXPECTATIONS. the worst was the extremely OVERHYPED DAL BUKHARA. Perhaps my neighbourhood dhaaba now makes better daal. We had the set menu as it was a large group. Were served unlimited food, which was nice. Great service and atmosphere, but the Dal definitely let it down.
I was completely blown away by the tatste of the food and the presentation of it. I had been staying in Delhi for almost a decade but could never visit this place for a definite reason that the location is inside a hotel- ITC Maurya. Secondly, it is not commonly known among college goers of its popularity. Anyway, that is not of any concern right now. Because, finally, I visited the place with my family members and family friends, and I must say it was worth visiting here. The food ordered was very tasty, and it was definitely finger lacking. Especially Sikandari raan (Mutton) and Daal Bukhara. The famous Naan of this place was also good to have with Non- veg ordered. I could not taste the other dishes but would love to have it if I get an opportunity. The services were good and the staff were courteous as well. Hope to visit here again. Note: The seat requires a booking. Otherwise, you can not walk in and get the place. You require at least a week booking before visiting the place.

Ordered a few dishes from the menu including the Dal Bukhara, Peshawari Kebab, Murgh Malai Kebab, Butter Naan, Tandoori Naan. I was super excited to try these dishes, seeing the price tag of them I was expecting them to be amazing. However, other than the Dal Bukhara that did deliver, all the other dishes failed to reach the mark. The Murgh Malai Kebab was average at best and the Murgh Malai Kebab at our local Sydney Punjabi restaurant, for half the price, is so much better. The Peshawari Kebab was super dry, we gave this feedback to staff and they got us the Barrah Kebab instead, which was only slightly better but definitely not worth the price tag. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 3 star instead of 1 star is due to the staff and the Dal Bukhara. Our server was beyond fabulous and I really appreciated his efforts. Amazing work. End note. Definitely not good value for money. The total was over 10,000 Rs without any alcohol.
