Buddha Guest House - Hotel in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

Location is quiet good. Staffs are also polite but rooms are not up to the mark. We availed a ac room for 2000/day. Ac was not good and water is overflowing from bathroom. The main problem was privacy. All windows are corridor facing with a plain curtain. But the view from roof was exotic.

Pros :- 1) location (it's cons if you are a senior citizen), just above the ganga ghat. 2)owner's mother has good nature , owner himself is pretty welcoming atleast on phone while booking ,and in person the nature varies (same as every tourist place where the staff is polite till the payment is done , nothing new ,so be mentally prepared just in case ). -------------------- End of list. Cons:- 1) Rooms are not cleaned everyday, so if you plan to stay more than one day you are on your own. 2) Bedsheets are not changed , same as above. 3) No amenities in washroom provided. 4)AC doesn't work when power is gone , but fan does. 5)They cut off the power to your room when you are gone outside , so in case you have put anything to charge(mobile or laptop) forget that it's gonna charge on it's own. 7)Wifi is unreliable. Note:- Cons didn't matter to me as for most of the day I was exploring Kashi , I used the stay for sleeping and baggage storage so I can roam freely. But for fellow travellers who wish to travel in a certain way ,I hope this is useful.

The guest house is in a small three storied narrow building. One dormitory with 6 beds without ventilation available @400/- . A few db rooms on second and third floor are available. AC and geser fitted. No restaurant but home food may provided on prior order. But the best part is that Chausatti ghat starts at its doorstep.

Best place to stay mainly considering Ajith's knowledge about the local and near by places. He really thinks about the guests as many people will be thinking to rob from people who are new to the place, but he was telling all the don't soo we could avoid unwanted expenditure. When it comes to the room it was pretty good, as the buildings are very old it is not that easy to upgrade soo many things but they tried to get all the things sorted to match the present day needs. And the place is not on the high road it is positive to have peace and is on the chausatti ghat very accessible to visit all the temples and the other ghats. But few people must be considerate of the place who can't walk with heavy baggage as it is about 8-10 minutes walk from the nearest connecting road. There are many good options to eat in short walking distance.

I stayed in this property for 4 days . It is located just few stairs away from chaussati ghat . Rooms are good .The roof top view is awesome . The Owner are very nice people with a gentle character of hospitality and their staff is also friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Best place to stay with family or as Solo. Very neat and clean, including washroom. Hot water is available i think on some rooms. Very close to Ganga ji, beautiful Ganga view. If you get room on thrid floor then i beleive old people may feel difficulty to stay there as stairs are very deep. Ajit gives very important tips to visit the Varansai, he makes sure that guests reach to the place without any problems. His generous family make sure that all the guests all fine during their stay, and if required they can offer home made cooked food. highly recommend

Would like to mention this was our trip to Varanasi, we reached Hotel Buddha on 25 Dec Mr. Ajit made sure we reached the place properly and personally received us. Was bit worried as it was only me and my daughter, Mr. Ajit took very good care of us about the accomodation, sightseeing and made our trip very comfortable. He suggested us all the must visit places and good eating places and made our trip a very memorable trip of the year.

We stayed in this property for 7 days, and I must say our experience was amazing. It's located just few stairs away from Chausatti Ghat and few minutes away from Dashashwamedh Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath lane and few other attractions. The rooms were neat and tidy, the bathroom was also clean. The rooftop view was excellent. Ajit Bhaiya the excellent host, who always went out of the way to help us. He planned the whole itinerary for us and made sure that we don't miss anything out. And the staff was also friendly and helpful. Overall we had an amazing stay.
