BSF Museum - Defence Museum in Tekanpur, Beragarh - Gwalior, India

I proud BSF Tekanpur is a town located roughly 30km from Gwalior city to the South east on National Highway 75. The town is a major center for the Border Security Force (BSF), housing the BSF Academy, formerly the BSF Training Center. The Border Security Force (BSF) is the largest Para-Military Organisation, numbering around 220,000 personnel and first set up in 1965. The BSF operates an active air wing, responsible for transportation of senior officials. For years this air wing had a few Douglas DC-3 Dakotas that were based in Palam Air port. These aircraft were phased out from active flying in the late 80s and for years spent time at Palam. Fortunately the BSF had preserved atleast two of these aircraft. One of which, Dakota VT-DDW can be found preserved at the BSF Museum at Tekanpur.

It's must place to visit and explore about the rich history of BSF, also if you're interested in Defense and Military stuff, this museum has all of it with Weapons to Military Vehicles.

Super place for those people who have know about army's weapons,war strategy and ational Hero who give his life for 'BHARAT MATA' also know about Paramvirchakra and virchakra etc. And last i most like the line which write near our national flag and that is " hamara tirnga hava o se nahi lehrata wo lehrata he des ke har ek sainik ki saus se jinho ne des ki ifazt me apni jaan kurbaan kr di" I salute INDIA ARMY and proud to our soliders. The museum is awesome. There is a fighter plane placed there which was completely destroyed in a battle. The BSF then rebuild it and placed in there museum. We can enter in that plane. It's a different experience.
