Bread & Chocolate - Cafe in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bread and Chocolate Cafe, and it left me with a wonderful impression. Here are some key points about my experience: 1. The coffee at Bread and Chocolate Cafe is top-notch. Whether you're a cappuccino aficionado or prefer a simple brewed coffee, they serve great coffee that's rich and satisfying. 2. Their croissants are a true delight. Each bite is a delightful experience - they are not only crunchy but also bursting with flavor. It's clear that they take their pastries seriously. 3. The open-air rooftop seating is a real standout feature. The atmosphere up there is amazing, offering a tranquil escape where you can enjoy your treats while soaking in a breathtaking view. 4. What pleasantly surprised me was the cafe's multilingual staff. One of their team members spoke Hindi, which made me feel right at home and added a personal touch to the service. In conclusion, Bread and Chocolate Cafe is a must-visit for those who appreciate great coffee, delectable croissants, and a charming atmosphere. The added bonus of multilingual staff makes the experience even more inviting.

This place is all things Good vibes. Their service is really nice. They suggested from today's specials, do not remember the name but it was super tasty. Liked their veggie roast, breakfast hash. Was skeptical to try their gluten free chocolate pan cakes but I must say I am impressed. When I was over ordering they suggested me to wait, which I really appreciate. Thank you

Go here for your sunday sitdowns. The subko cold brews, sourdough pizza and their assortment of croissants and Palmiers are all fantastic The mariachi wrap was a miss. The staff were kind enough to offer the brownie croissant as a replacement. Oh and they've got plenty of gut friendly gluten free and vegan options Must visit. Worth the hype!

Waiting area was bad, with the humid and temperature playing spoilsport. Got the seats after about 25-30 minutes of waiting from 1230-1300 on Saturday. Sitting area was filled with lot of noise from the guests, fans, and the music system. We ordered sandwich and smoothies and for reasons best known to them, we got the smoothies first. You can go once to see their variety of spread or simply take pictures in front of their gate if you are particular that you had visited this place. Probably on a not so humid and hot day, and with lesser crowd the place might be good to savour their dishes.

As a part of my breakfast crawl. We visited Bread & chocolate. The one in the French colony. The place is very minimalistic, surrounded with greenery. I ordered an orange juice and their famous almond croissant. The juice was good and the croissant was nice but just didn't hit the spot as I've had better ones than this nonetheless it was good. Service was good. They do serve subko coffee.

Lovely chilled out place , menu is crisp but still makes you confused to choose coz you would like to order more than just 2 dishes for yourself. The staff is also cooperative. Do try the salad bowls and sourdough toasts. Vegan options are also clearly mentioned.

I came 3 times and had the latte, the subko float and the sif on the rocks. Bread and Chocolate uses the Subko Roastery coffee. The drinks were good, although the latte was a bit so-so for a specialty coffee. It lacked thickness in the milk, and the flavour profile didn't convince me entirely which is why I give 4 stars. The other drinks were good. The service was good, the order was always promptly taken when I looked at the server and the bill was also given without any delays when asked. Only in my last visit did I not appreciate the server pushing me to buy food - I think it's important to see what kind of customer you have in front and adapt your serving style accordingly. The same server however was also careful when I changed places and asked me if I was alright with the given table, so it shows consideration for the customer. The atmosphere is nice, quite green and wooden with a splash of concrete. As others have said it does get hot but they do what they can with the fans. Prices are without tax and on the high side, it is possible to pay with a foreign card.

The shop is in 1st floor, tried green healthy smoothie, fig & chocolate smoothie and they tastes rich and good. But the bombay toasty sandwich which the waiter suggested as its the best option in sandwich but it tastes horrible. The bread tastes like sour dosa batter i don't know what content it has and its totally worthless for 400 bucks. Never recommend this shop for sandwich. Did not tried their coffee, pastries and cakes but no comments on that. Overall its too pricy. If you go their for snack time it will cost more than our lunch. If you are looking for something other than fancy, then not a very good option.
