The Brahmaputra River is an iconic element in defining Guwahati's identity. The Riverfront is located on the south bank of the mighty Brahmaputra River and part of the central area of Guwahati. The sunset over the Brahmaputra is yet another charming and eye catching experience. The serenity of the place will just blow you away. But one should be carefull while going near the river as It brings a lot of debris from the above. On one side of the stretch, there are temples and the parking was given access from outside to be used by the temples and the stretch itself. Beyond the river were the beautiful mountains which made this area as one of the most famous viewpoints in the city for the tourists as well as locals to experience the river and the mountains together.

River Side Park on the bank of Brahmaputra in Guwahati is a beautiful place, though a lot improvement can be done. First of all, it's position is excellent. Just by the main road, it is very easily approachable. Secondly, it's very position by the mighty river is awesome. Thirdly, the view of the mighty Brahmaputra with it's blue water with white sand on the bank presents a magnificent picture. But the most important point is the powerful statue of the great Assamese general and Mughal-destroyer Lachit Barphukan. It's just awesome. Ferry services from this point is an added advantage. However, the place is not so clean with plastic bottles and rubbish thrown here and there. I could not find a public toilet, and that is essential for visitors. Finally, few benches should be placed at places beyond the reach of the water.
The Brahmaputra Riverfront is a beautiful place in Guwahati city of Assam. The place is renovated with walkway, jetty and other amenities. Walking on the walkway of the riverfront and viewing the scenery of Brahmaputra River is really captivating. It's an amazing place for relaxation.
Good place to visit at evening or morning sun rise to enjoy the beautiful natural scenic . The river view looks awesome. And if you visit nearby areas like fancy bazar than a good place for parking.
