BOX8- Desi Meals | Order Food Online - Indian restaurant in Mumbai, Thane - Thane, India

Getting outdoors is not a convenient option always. This weekend we had a similar situation and thus decided to order from Box8. Operating their app is quite simple and you shall also know when they'll arrive with your order at the doorstep. We tried out a couple of items. MAINS Shahi Paneer : Shahi paneer was a flavourful curry with a lot of planner pieces,it was lipsmaking. We had this along with the mildly chewy paratha. Chicken overload meal : The name speaks for itself. It consists of Salad, Rice, Chicken Curry, Chicken Seek Kebab, Daal Makhni , 2Parathas and Gulab Jamun. It's no doubt, stomach filling and tastes good. The highlights were the Chicken Seek Kebab and the Chicken Curry. Chicken Xtreme : If you're looking out for trying something different in the rice section, you must try this out. The flavours are quite similar to that of tandoori, mildly spicy. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Chicken Tikka Biryani : Chicken tikka gravy infused with rice was a hit. The spices optimise the flavour and bring in the essence of biryani. The Chicken pieces were perfectly cooked. DRINKS Ice tea Lemon/Mint flavoured ice tea. It was refreshing and had the right concentration. Masala Lemonade: The Masala Lemonade tastes like Jaljira. This drink helps in curbing the burps/gases you usually get after eating. DESSERTS Gulab Jamun The Gulab Jamun was a delicious assortment. It wasn't extremely sweet(which we liked) and quite soft. Moong Dal Halwa The Halwa was fresh and hits the sweet spots. Choco Lava Cake A sinful dessert. A must have for the chocolate lovers. It melts in the mouth right away. We are highly impressed by the quality of the food served. It's definitely worth the price and very convenient. They have many combo offers that helps to reduce the burden on your pockets. This place is the best for delivery food. They have some jaw dropping pizzas, super healthy salads and some fusion box which Includes some paratha our choice of curry, a dessert and some salad. Paneer Makhani Fusion Box This one was very neatly packed and it had different sections for each dish. There was Paratha, Paneer Makhani, Daal, salad and Brownie for dessert. Rating - 8/10 4 Seasons Veg Cheese Blast Pizza. Believe me this blew my mind, it is one of the best cheese crust pizza that I have had. Loaded with toppings and cheese its undoubtedly superb and best in class. Rating - 10/10 Crowded House Vegetarian Pizza. This one was even better than the above one because it had paneer in it and the same cheese crust! Loaded with fresh vegetables and they are really very generous while adding the toppings to the pizza. Rating - 10/10 Superfit Paneer Salad One of my favorite salad I have had, it was very refreshing and paneer was very succulent as well. The vegetables were again fresh and it had some mayo dressing or Cesar dressing in it. Rating - 10/10

BOX 8:- Well, after the match getting washed off yesterday, All the energies that had huddled up, were now lingering around low and sad(why bcci, why???) :(. So to cheer us and to lighten up our moods we thought of giving this big responsibility to BOX 8 to rejuvenate US and satisfy our taste buds. To my surprise they did their job really well, so the stuffs we ordered ranged from wraps to sandwiches to biryani. The orders that I tried were as follows:- Kathi Style Paneer Wrap: The wrap was really nice, neatly wrapped up with some well marinated paneer and veggies. It was nice and juicy with the chutney put within which balanced the whole wheat paratha really well, On many occasions when you use whole wheat paratha they tend to become very dry if they don't have accompaniments like a chutney or gravy or even a drink or cooler as a matter of fact. So they have done a good job in bringing together all the items in this dish and balancing it well. You should try this. Paneer Overload Sandwich: This was the first item I had put my hands on, and I must say was a tad disappointed because it was not really close to the name suggested, Being a 'Paneer Overload" it hardly had 2 small pieces of paneer. It was more of a veggie delight due to the volume of other veggies stuffed in, than paneer(babycorn n mushroom to be precise). Seems like the chef got confused with the order or the paneer just went out of stock. Talking about the taste, the sandwich was really tasty, the bread was really fresh, soft and i did love the addition of babycorn and mushroom(I know many might not like it....but it did go well), it did compensate for the absence of paneer, but not completely. It's a really nice sandwich just tell him to make sure he delivers "paneer overload" only. You can surely give it a benefit of doubt coz I also will. Okay just a note, try to finish this up first and fresh, coz as you know the bread is fresh it will absorb all the sauces and liquids of the veggies, and become very soft and soggy. So it will become a lil. Difficult for you to eat later or you might not even like it. Shahi Paneer Biryani: Alright, talking about biryani, well it is a really good biryani to have on the go. I wouldn't say it's the best biryani I have ever had, But it's pretty doable, with spices and white rice well balanced. I loved raita and the long rice lentils used for making the biryani. Rest was pretty neat. I would like to rate the food 3.5. I have given 0.5 more for the efforts put in by them in packaging, quality of spoons and speedy service. Kudos to them, they really made our evening lively and special ***Make sure you eat the dishes when their brought to you hot, or else you won't be able to enjoy the delight that they wish to serve you. Box8 is a sister concern of Mojo Pizza. Food is not great, and nothing to write home about. Food looks better in the images provided in the app. What they deliver looks okay and taste is also about okay. The parathas were quite ordinary and below expectations. The bhaaji tasted good though. But the customization was lacking. I selected same meal with a variation in two units, but they delivered same content in both units. The quantity of the meal is not sufficient for an adult. The brownie provided as part of the meal was too small - this may in fact be a blessing for adults so that they don't have to worry about getting diabetes! The choco lava cake was way too sweet.

CHICKEN OVERLOAD MEAL: Always a delight. I love the Makhani Gravy and the Seekh kebabs in it.. The tandoori chicken pcs in MAKHANI gravy are defi a treat... Comes with A Portion of CHICKEN in Makhani Gravy, Dal Makhani/Chole/Rajma, Rice/Paratha/Both, 2 Seekh Kebabs, Dessert, Salad-Chutney. SPICY PANEER MEAL The Paneer gravy ws a bit diffrnt. This ws a decent meal for a Paneer lover. CHICKEN BHUNA WRAP This is my fav wrap in chicken. But this tym i felt it a lil dry. Could be a one off thng, bit I still enjoyed it... CHEFS SPECIAL PANEER WRAP I love the sauces in this wrap. The paneer, babycorn n other veggies r nicely stuffed. BUTTER CHICKEN BOX This comes with Rice, Butter Hicken gravy, Salad, Chutney, etc. The salad ws a bit extra. A lil less salad wont hurt. MADAGASCAR CHOC ICE CREAM Just love this flavor. The Ice Creams at Box8 are dcent and Hav tried 2 flavors. Both wer good. OVERALL, the meal is very filling, Order both Paratha n rice in ur meal and 1 meal cn easily fill 1 person...

Food client is good and packing is very good to eat on the go or at work. They have extremely tasty moong dal halwa. Veg and non veg both are tasty and food is usually delivered before time each time I have tried from this branch. I have also seen the place and is maintained well.

When your meal fulfills what your tummy wants then tho huge credits to Box 8 banta hy. Packaging was done well. It is microwave friendly so in case of you'll want to make your food hot you can definitely do that. I tried their Chicken Overloaded Meal which consisted of Paratha, Dilli k Chole, Chicken gravy in makhni style, Chicken kebabs, Mint chutney, Raita and the best dessert Brownie. I don't have any complaints when it comes to good coz it was really yumm. Also customizations are available so you guys can opt for what you'll prefer to have. Quantity sufficient for 1/2.
