Bortir Bil - Tourist attraction in Beraberia, Barasat - 24 Paraganas North, India

Nothing so special about this place. Only a wetland which is a complete field in winter. Only attraction is some waterlilies and village like ambience. Otherwise a total waste of money. If you don't have car or bike then don't visit here. The toto drivers gonna charge too much from you. And for boat riding, visit other places rather visiting here. The place is too small to visit plus they increase time deliberately to charge more. We've asked for 30 minutes and they made it 1 hr 20 min and charged more. Complete thievery.. And the restaurant is totally disappointing. Overall I didn't like this place. A total waste of money.

A great weekend gateway from Kolkata. Pros: 1. Can feel Dal lake a little bit. 2. Boating views are awesome. 3. Jute sticks gathered throughout the path makes it very unique and a must visit place. 4. Food stalls are also available. Cons: 1. The boating price per person for 30 minutes is Rs 100 which is expensive whereas the boating price at Purbasthali is Rs 150 per hour for four persons. 2. Shop keepers stop incoming visitors at their shop and say the road ends here which they literally lies for their profit. While the road still continues little further. 3. This Place is far from the main road.

Good place if want to relax amid open land.In season there might be water.In winter it's mostly barren land.There's 2-3 dhaba style shop for tea n snacks so those r good place to sit for a while.There's also boat ride available arranged by locals.They might charge 100-200 per head for a short 30-40 min trip in narrow canals like water body.Worth the money when the water bodies are much larger during rainy season or summer.

Beautiful place for family, couples , everyone. The attraction of Bortir Bil is boating. It's something like Dal lake ( kashmir). Boating charge per person for one hour rs.100. No public toilet is over there. Restaurant type shop is here for food.

For the past 25 years since I was born, never knew regarding such a place that's just near my house. During August and September, you'll be able to see water deposited in the fields resulting in a lake-like formation. The boatmen here might charge you according to the way you present yourself however I was lucky to get a guy who was super-friendly. He charged substantially lesser compared to the rest. I was all alone yet I felt extremely safe. His name is Pankaj Biswas aka Bullet Kaka. He is a passionate singer as well. I spent some of the best moments of my life with him. Nevertheless, if you come at Bortir Bil, please do spend some time with him by hiring his boat, trust me you won't regret. Now coming to the landscape, you will be able to understand by seeing my pictures and videos. It's heavenly. The serenity and tranquility I found here was unparalleled.

Place wass not good. Local people were very irritating. If any one want to feel the nature, but can't. Bcz local people were continuously piche piche ghum raha tha for boat riding . Ek chota sa khal type jagah me darty water, boating ho raha tha. Young crowd were smoking ganja, took hard drinks. Evening k ash, pass bahut macchar cut raha tha. You can visit on rainy season. Then water will be in the bill. You can ride the boat also. I have visited yesterday. It's a famous place for pre wedding shoot. Yesterday also 2 couple were shoot for pre wedding. No such a good restaurant were there. So, please pack your food. Road condition also was very pathetic.Overall I didn't like the place. Thx.

Approach road conditions not good.But Bil view is excellent. Nice spot for time spent.Wonderful boating experience. Ideal place for nature study.

Nice Place. Can spend 2 3 hours easily. Open grounds, cool Breeze blowing, water in the both side of the road specially monsoon. There are several of shops beside the road for tourist visitors. Shops like lunch meal, bread, tea, maggi more of dhaba. Sailors will ask for 100Rs/perhead to roam around using boat but Bargain.
