Loved the calmness in the early morning visit. Gets slightly crowded during Eve hours. Overall good experience while taking a stroll in early morning and there is a pathway for walking.

Gaurishankar Sarovar Bortalav is the gift of Maharaja of Bhavnagar State which is big storage reservoir of natural water falls from the Khokhra Hills Malnath .

Just Recently I Visited this Lake and really i just felt the real beauty of the nature and had some peaceful time overthere so basically the Gaurishankar Lake locally known as "BORTALAV" It is a tourist location.The lake bordered by a garden, popularly called Pil Garden, is also a major picnic spot. Tourists can also see a planetarium in near the site of the lake. The lake was built with the plan of supplying water to the entire town. Tourists can visit the lakeside to enjoy the view of the sunset over the lake and take a stroll in the garden. Fairs and public events are also organized at the site.Just Recently Renovation of this lake has done and now it is look so beautiful so you have to visit this lake once

Very beautiful lake with awesome view and you can walk side by side of lake with seeing a amazing view. You can bring children here they will get good time in garden. Entry fee is 5rs and parking fee is also 5rs. Here is a temple also and very well seating arrangement throughout lake and garden also Every year BHAVNAGAR CARNIVAL was been celebrated here, where many many cultural activities done with very good atmosphere and ambience at garden. Person can do jogging here. This lake ws made by Guarishankar Oza the deewan of bhavnagar state, hence this called gaurishankar lake. This provides water to bhavnagar city

Best place to visit in bhavnagar It is place where your time past auickly, if you are planning for family trip then this is the best place ever, there are lots of stalls for snacks and water but out of lake area, they developed new garden area which is paid not free but fee is jusr rs 5 per person and its affordable for everyone i think, they charged you due to maintanance but once you visit it then you dont think about charge next time, park start with big mahadev and its beautiful, lots of colorful flowers and grass for relaxation. , garden is new place for prewedding photo shoot. This place is also too good for fitness freakers awesome place for walking. If you are in bhavnagar then must visit this place
