We had a very bad experience. Food was stale and tasted very bad. Ordered Fish Kabiraji but received Fish piece wrapped in omlette. When we asked them about it they said this is how our chef prepares. Will never visit again. 0 star for Bonolota restaurant.

The food was too good. We had the Maharaja Thali. The mutton and Basanti Pulao was the deadly combination. The Pomfret jhal was also too good.
Our hunger was at pick and we reached there. It was a wedding season, so we wanted to have plain rice, dal, posto, jhuri aloo vaja. And we ordered only those. We avoided any fish or mutton. They are not having any chicken option. The chatni was complementary. But the taste and quality of the food was great. And the quantity is also very good. We loved it.
We had booked the banquet for a program. Enough to accommodate 70-80 persons.Atmosphere was good.Staffs were cordial. One deficiency is that to access 2nd floor has one has to climb stairs and no elevator is available. Dedicated Parking is also not there for such gathering.
The place is known for its Bengali cuisines, we went for our friends aiburobhaat for the same reason. We ordered one maha-voj thali (Rs999) and other items from ala-cart. Food was cold, each and every item, including the thali. They weren't even warm. And I wouldn't recommend the 'Chingri Malaikari' as it wasn't good at all. The prawns had the texture of a rubber. The taste of other items apart from the Malaikari were decent but paying to have cold food is the last thing anybody will want from a restaurant of the stature they hold.
A bit costly still the food the portion and the quality of their food are always good. Ambience is also good.

You will get three types of fish in Special Fish Thali. And in Maharaja Thali was a combination of Fish , Chicken , Mutton All.
