Best homestay in the riverside of matla. The rooms are very good. Foods are very tasty and well cooked. The environment is fantastic. Can enjoy a good day here.

A very nice place to go for a one night tour. The place is very quiet and peaceful and the people are also very friendly. You can go fishing, boating etc. to pass time. A very nice place to visit with family.

This place is ideal for spending your precious time with your friends, family and your loved ones. The scenic beauty is heavenly here and also this place is only 70-80 kilometers away from Kolkata so if you are willing to visit this place by car or bike then you can definitely come as the road condition is decent. Also local train and auto is available for transportation. Lastly the hospitality and food of this place is amazing. I can assure that the journey will be memorable once you visit this place.

This homestay consists of 4 cottages with double bed ac accommodations each. It is a bit on the interiors of kaikhali village making it an exotic stay in the lap of nature. A very homely atmosphere close to nature with a few very hospitable folks to cater to the food and lodging needs of visitors. Of course you have to depend on the logistics arranged by the property caretakers for movement in and around the place from the main road. However it is definitely worth it. The Matla river is 2 minutes walking distance, but the way is likely to get muddy during rains.

Its very beautiful homestay. But expensive. It costs 1500+ for single day for one person. You have to book it from website. Its 2 km away from Kaikhali Ram Krishna Mission. This is situated at the bank of Matla River. You will get fresh fish and crab here. The scenic beauty of the place is very very peaceful.

Bongheri is definitely one of the best places nearby Kolkata for a weekend trip. Situated on the banks of the mighty River Matla in the Sunderbans, the homestay is in a remote village called Gopalganj. The property is designed pretty tastefully. The rooms are very nice, clean and hygienic, with all the modern amenities. There are adequate sitting and lounging areas in the property for those Adda sessions. The kitchen run by local women churns out amazing homely bengali food, catches fresh from the river. The owner, Mr. Nilanjan Chakraborty is very helpful and takes adequate care of the guest, both the stay and logistics wise. The staff are always very helpful to make the stay memorable and comfortable. Very very highly recommended from my end to all the weekend travelers from Kolkata and beyond.

Simply badly disappointed. There is no similarities between the photos, feedbacks shared in facebook and original. The reasons are depicted below: 1. The first and foremost point is behaviour of the ladies who ere serving, coocking foods and taking care of the guest. The shocking thing was the owner was also least bothered about their behaviour. 2. Not et all value for money. They have served prawn masala where I should mention that those are not et all prawn those are shrimps only and they have served two shrimp to each guest. Even one also to a baby. Two of our members were vegetarian they have not provided any thing special for them where we have informed in advance. 3. Now the room size!!!!! They said that they are providing four bed room to us where they gave double bed so one of our team member have to sleep on the floor. No extra pillow too. Thanks
