Bongaon Highway Resort - Restaurant in Bongaon, Barua Gaon - Golaghat, India

The variety of food is very nice. The taste of food was excellent. Nicely prepared. They took more time to cook, during the cooking time you can roam inside the restaurant. There is a nursery with a wide variety of plants. There is an ostrich bird. Lots of rooms made from bamboo. The bar is well decorated. By seeing all these and taking photos, food was ready. I really enjoyed that the veg and non veg menu is available here. A good crowd is approaching, an easy approach location on the highway.

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, the culinary offerings were delectable. The ambiance exuded a cool and inviting atmosphere, providing a pleasant backdrop to the dining experience. However, I found the service to be somewhat lacking. While the food delighted my taste buds, the service left much to be desired.

The staff looked bored & not happy to serve. Food was average. Mutton was uncooked & when we complained nobody seemed to be bothered. Took a lot of time to serve such below average food. The only thing attractive was the two emus and the well kept garden & yard.

We have ordered mutton curry but the mutton was not properly boiled I asked them to re boil this bcz it was so tight to eat but they ask me to ordered another item .. that means they don't have the capacity to service proper food for us today I am going from here without eating anything..

Good atmosphere. Good parking. But, food is not up to the mark as per prices. Will prefer to go somewhere else. Most items are unavailable

It's a good place for occasional hangouts and for some decent food. I found the ambience quite neat, spacious, and upscale. Sitting arrangements are very nice with ample space for six people to have lunch or dinner together in a single table. The main restaurant hall has been very well decorated and soothing to the eye. Highway Resort Bongaon was previously known as Bongaon Dhaba and I used to come here a lot because of the quality of the food and value for money they did provide. They would provide very good quality food at reasonable rates. Later the Bongaon Dhaba underwent a massive makeover and rechristened to Highway Resort Bongaon. Although the looks and ambience have improved manifold I couldn't say the same for the food quality as far as its taste is concerned. Earlier the taste of the food they served was to my liking but somehow that's not the same anymore, at least that's what I feel. Maybe the chef's changed here. Nevertheless, the food they serve now is not something I dislike. It's good though. But the one thing I like the most here is that they serve ample quantity of sliced onion and lemons complimentary with the food one orders. Regarding the staff, they still need more training and 'seasoning'. There are times when I had to search for them to give further orders, they would simply go into hiding literally. Overall, the experience was good and Highway Resort Bongaon did not disappoint.
