Bonfire Hostels Rishikesh - Backpacker Hostel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

Overall I had a good stay here. It is a hostel, so you have to take that into consideration. It was a step up from the ashram I also stayed in. It's conveniently located. I had a private room. The staff is overly helpful at times, and they coordinate daily activities if you're looking for something to do. Twice daily yoga classes is a nice touch. The blanket didn't smell clean, and the bath towel I received on the first day smelled like it was just washed in fabric freshener. The kitchen was not clean. The housekeeper interrupted three times per day, which was kind of annoying. I don't know why she couldn't take out the trash, sweep, and wipe the bathroom down in one visit.

Stayed at Bonfire Rishikesh for two nights from 14/6/2017 to 16/6/2017. Since I was not in the premises during the day I can't really comment about what goes on during the day but the people were nice overall. The bunks were comfortable enough and you get a huge locker under the bunk beds for which the lock is not provided and you have to have your own. Towels are provided on request and are not charged, you can ask them to clean your room/bathroom at any time of the day and they get the job done. They also have an onsite laundry service which is chargeable but is cheap if you're going to be their for longer than 3 or 4 days. They supposedly had a rooftop cafe but was not functional when I was there and the rooftop space is open to those staying at bonfire, what they call a community space. The same for the space around the reception. Met a lot of really nice people who were staying their as well and had a long chat in the community space in front of the reception. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and since they are in other locations as well I will be making sure I stay their whenever I'm visiting.

It's a new hostel, so their facilities are quite nice (except for the kitchen, it needs some love). The owner was very enthusiastic when we checked in at midnight, thanks for that. And I also enjoyed the free yoga.

Had a great experience at this hostel. The hostel is in a great location just a few minute walk from the Main bridge crossing the bridge to the temples. Also in a very close range to some fantastic cafes and restaurants. While I was there I went on a rafting tour booked through them and it was absoutely incredible and great value for money. Sadly did not get a chance to try the food at the hostel or the morning Yoga which I heard is fantastic. The hostel has a great rooftop for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. Highly recommended this hostel if you are heading to Rishikesh!

Owners seem nice but the location is poor, near a busy road and away from the Ganges. If you want to stay this side of the river stay at live free hostel. Otherwise cheaper guesthouses and in my opinion a calmer vibe can be found over the other side of the river.

The shower was leaking (wet floor all the time). The water didn't drain fast enough (even more water on the floor). A bit small rooms. No personal lightbulbs. Fake advertising about free laundry : after fighting to get it, they said bring the laundry in the morning, and when I did they asked to bring it in the evening. But given the fact that I check out at 12, they won't do it. Had better for cheaper. Don't recommend.

Our entry to the hostel itself was not so good. We entered and the guy at the reception was unprofessional. He didn't have the computer or any details about our stay.We were waiting in front of the reception and he was talking on his phone for around 10 minutes without any proper heed. LOCATION: There are much nicer and ganga facing hotels on the other side of laxman jhula. This hostel is a bit far and no view or vibe or style to it. Even as a backpacker i wouldn't like it.

Love to meet and make new friends, want to have a great time and stay and make good memories! Have a look at bonfire. I have stayed here for 3 days but initally i was a little skeptical to stay here coz it was my first tym at a hostel and that too via online booking. But honestly i left with great experience. The host is a great and fun loving guy. U will enjoy ur stay. Keep travelling and Keep exploring !!
