Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary - Featured Reviews (3005)
Bondla is the perfect place for a family picnic. The magnificent views and, of course, the wildlife are a must when visiting Goa. Though the Tiger was not at the sanctuary when I visited, it didn't make the tour less pleasant. Really, a trip worth making in family! There is a restaurant before entering the sanctuary, I didn't try it myself, and it didn't seem to be so busy. You can find a small canteen where to get water, soft drinks in the sanctuary, but they would only take cash, important to bear on mind.
Bondla Zoo used to be a vibrant haven with a wide variety of animals, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere. However, it's disappointing to note that the number of animals has significantly decreased over time, affecting the overall experience. Despite the changes, the zoo's serene surroundings and natural beauty still offer a pleasant escape for visitors seeking a peaceful outing.
Small zoo with a small collection of animals and birds. But good for spending peaceful time. Takes approximately 3-4 hours depending on how you want to walk around. Saw a group of people carrying a picnic bag and having lunch there at the open grounds. A restaurant is available inside the sanctuary which serves a simple fish/chicken/veg thali. The area is under the forest department.
had a surprisingly delightful encounter with an adorable emu. While the overall experience may not have been exceptional, meeting the emu was a highlight. These fascinating birds are not only cute but also quite curious and friendly. It's always a joy to connect with animals like emus, even in a more standard zoo setting. If you happen to visit this place, keep an eye out for their emu residents - they might just steal your heart!
Excellent place to visit. Windy air with soothing jungle environment. Leopard is the main attraction along with porcupine, wild cat, deer, Cobra snake and so on. Neat and clean place. Not much walking required from parking area.
Good outing with small kids. Best time is before 1pm and after 3pm. No more bears present.
It was a wonderful experience. We got to see many animals, birds and butterflies as well. Everything is well maintained and beautiful.
It's a simple zoo with few animals, birds, reptiles. Tickets need to purchase. Small cafeteria available at the entrance, with none to less options for eat. Better if you carry your own eatable and water. Walking path is rough, with broken stone blocks are accident prone. Parking is available at the gate. Be aware !. You drive slowly, you are going to spot wild animals crossing the road. Plus lots of monkeys are there. Visit only if kids have not yet seen any zoo, otherwise it's a similar.
