Great service, amazing food and a lovely setting. The prawn and chicken starters were on point, the naan lovely and the service stellar.
Spilled one of the drinks I ordered by accident, staff were great at helping clean up and even made me a new drink though the fault was all mine. The menu is extensive, so a few visits might be warranted to get the complete experience.
Visited this place for dinner.
Pros:
-veg kebab was good.
Cons:
-Didn't expect a fine dine restaurant to have such poor service.
-Waiters are always in a hurry.
-Chicken biriyani was below average.
-Soup was severed super cold.
Great place to have a delicious, yummy and delightful meal with your family and friends. We found it a little expensive though. But nice ambience and good service.
Hand down the best north indian place in chennai!! Their service is also good. The ambience gives out such warmth!
Dishes i had
1)Kashmiri naan kebab - this is a MUST TRY!! Its mutton sheek kebab( quite long in size) along with a huge butter naan to munch it with, and a yogurt dip which elevates the dish to another level!!!!!
2)Chicken tikka biryani - another favv, cuz where do we get such flavour, spicy and so yum tikkas, and the masala has that amazing aroma, just perfect for you to hog on it.
3)Paneer tikka - the pieces were quite thick, so i felt it light ah bland, but no regrets, it was still really soft and flavourful!
4) calcutta fish fry - basically rava coated fish fry, quantity wise okay, but the taste isnt that great.
5)Anglo indian bread pudding - warm and gooey bread pudding, with a crunchy layer on top, served with vanilla icecream, and a malai topping with it. So basically tasty maxxxx!
6) mango rasagulla - this is quite new, serves with liquid nitrogen base, tastes yum especially in summers when we cant get enough of mangoes!
Dishes slightly on the pricier side, but once a while it wont hurt. Keep looking out for offers on dineout, zomato. Adyar branch is the best one
Nungambakkam branch, the food isnt this great
Great eating experience as it had an old brass collections display.. Food is authentic and has superb flavours..!! Everybody must try this place.
Went for our 1980-82 11th and 12th std get together. Ambiance was ok. We were allotted a table in the covered outside fitted with AC. BUT with the plastic sheet above us being so hot that ac was ineffective. We asked for a pedestal fan but they did not provide. We also requested to accomodate inside but they refused saying in the afternoons this is the place. We were vertually fanning ourselves with their menu card. Our entire afternoon was spoiled. Service and Food was ok but cost was high. Please AVOID going especially in the afternoons otherwise you may be dehydrated and no one will hear your requests. OR take a small fan to keep yourself cool.
A decent restaurant at Adyar, in middle of better restaurants around. The ambience is okish, but the tables are arranged cluttery, that doesn't feel spacious to dine-in peacefully. There is nothing great here, that makes Bombay Brasserie stand-off in the midst of other good restaurants around Adyar. Just for name "Brasserie" they've kept a few brass utensils around and that's the only "theme" one could see. Other than that the dishes are mediocre and not much of a variety for vegetarians. The simplest of starters, karari Gobi was too bland and oily. It seems unnecessarily costly for the theme, ambience and the food they provide. Expected a better quantity and quality to justify the price.
Had to wait for 1hr+ to get a table. Please don't go without booking them. Secondly food, I know many reviews say it is good. But personally I had a very bad stomach ache for the next two days I feel it is over priced too. Since there was a crowd, the waiters were not able to concentrate much on a table. They forgot the soup, the veg gravy, so we had to remind now and then. But it is understandable.
