This is a place of worship for the Hindus. It is also known as Aaithan ! Many devotees visit this place to seek blessings from the unknown. It is located in the outskirts of the Dibrugarh town and near the river Brahmaputra. There are small stalls located nearby to purchase the diyas and other materials of worship. It also has a picnic spot nearby and people come to spend a lovely time here during the winters.
This is the holiest place of worship in Dibrugarh, Assam.Situated at Sengamari Habbi , Mohanaghat,this place has been believed to be there since long.Not far from here is the mighty Brahamaputra river and the vast lands surrounding it. Usually the place gets flooded in the summer and opens up during the months of Oct through May around the year. A popular place for the worshippers to fulfill their wishes every year.After a worship at the site, usually people go and have their picnic in the vast lands opposite to the entrance of the holy site. Usually opens up early morning and people folk in throughout the day... but lessens during the afternoon part and evenings.The route leading up to the holy shrine is not very friendly ,considering the frequent rains in the area, but one can drive a car or a bike to reach it.
