Popularly known as RASIK BILL. It is not maintained well. No deer, no leopard, but peacocks are outstanding. What somebody can enjoy are tranquil nature and the singing of birds at their own nest. Come with some time in your hand.
A good place to spend few hours during winter. This place have birds, migratory birds, leopards, peacocks, deers, pithons ect. The park is well maintained during winter only. The watchtower inside the park has very good views of the surroundings. The best time to visit this park is from december to april. This park is well connected with Alipurduar and Coochbehar city by road.
It is very poor quality zoo. Nothing is here. What I saw and loved was a Peacock. There's no security. Every one was breaking rules by crossing the fence. I paid nothing to watch this zoo where the Entry fee board catched our eyes at rupees Rs20/- . But I personally think the value of the entry ticket should be below Rs5/- per person. Another disappointing issue was there which was the main attraction the 'Rasik Bill'( Oops, I really wanted to call it "sick bill"), filled with full of dirtyness. Where man extended their waste in spite of the banner "KEEP THE AREA AND THE REST OF THE ZOO CLEAN". The zoo is mainted by our(India' people's) tax. So I request you to raise your voice against the corruption and its hazardness as well as misuse also.
Good for visit. It is situated at the foothill of Sintura Hill of the great Himalaya in the Coochbehar district of West Bengal. It is basically low water land (Bil or Bill) or swamp, where water may be available all over the year. There are five such a kind of low water land or marshland, namely, Neeldaba, Bochamari, Raichangmari, Shankhadanga and Rasikbil. These attract a lot of birds which make nests in the trees around this area. And a Bird Sanctuary is grown up with 175 hector area. Besides the bill a tribal village is also there.
