Boating Spot and Children's Park - Park in Ooty - The Nilgiris, India

Great place ever. Good parking facilities provided by them. So many adventures rides. Good for both children and adult. The only problem is little bit rushy place ever. But if you are planing a trip to ooty try to find a time to visit this park also. Otherwise you have a major miss. Here there is boating included pedal boating, speed boating,row boating , 8 seater and 10 seater boating also. Mini train is also available. 25 rs per adult in mini train and 10 per children. 3D gaming is also available. And toilet facility is also available

It is a must visit when you have gone to Ooty. Many things to do here specially if you are visiting with small kids. The boating is available in different boats for different number of people. The place is kept very clean. As you may know Ooty is completely plastic free and they have maintained the place really well. Other then boating you have a children's play area, gaming zone, Chaat counters, food & snack counters, walking area in case you just want to see around the lake and a mini toy train that takes you 500m around the lake. There is a horse riding available, 7D theatre and a few gift shops. I would recommend you buy warm clothing here as they are cheap and very good in quality. The locals are really welcoming. There is pay and park vehicle parking available just outside the lake so you may take your vehicle here.

Nothing much to review about this place. Place is so crowded like Adventureland. Paid parking facilities and washrooms are available. Boating is just amazing. They are doing Pedestal,rowing and speed boats. I personally advice to do pedestal boating which is less expensive and you can really enjoy it . Tickets are for half hour time.you need to deposit 100% of the ticket fair initially which is refundable after your ride.( 350( 4person )is the ticket fair but you need to pay 700 ) . Activities are follows *7D cinema *Park for children and adults * VR Facilities * Small train journey which is absolutely useless (from my point of view)

One can get a first glimpse of this beautiful lake and surrounding hills from the toy train. just before arriving at Ooty station. One can see Children park before reaching this place.Other than boating there is a Vegetarian restaurant, 3D simulation theater, Tora tora, Children amusement, Gift shop, floating snack bar, mini train, chat corner, dashing car ride ( ticket Rs 25 for 4 minutes ride ), 3D video games, Nilgiri product shop, Nursery etc.

The boats are old. The timing is short, cost is high. A pedal boat for 30 minutes takes Rs 300 and return security Rs 300, by Tamilnadu tourism. Just imagine the looting from tourists.

This place in Ooty is always overcrowded with the que for boating never to end. One has to wait for minimum half and hour in the que to be in the boat. The lake is properly maintained and the park is also not well kept. It is one of the attractions in Ooty but the importance to keep it beautiful has gone forever.
