BOATING CHAMERA LAKE DALHOUSIE - Boat club in Kamandi, Taleru - Chamba, India

When you go up the mountains, stay up there - coz it will be much better. Or, if you wanna plan one day trip then this will be fine, otherwise I enjoyed more on the slopes then down here. . . The lake is cool, but boating charges are exceptionally high - Rs400 for normal and Rs500 for speed boats, is thisthe same at other places too?

Chamera Lake is an artificial lake located in the Chamba district of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, created by Chamera Dam which impounds the River Ravi . It is a popular tourist spot offering activities such as boating, water sports, photography, and picnicking Guides are not necessary and there are food stalls located around the lake . The best time to visit is during March to June and visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear .It is recommended to visit on a weekday to avoid crowds . Chamera Lake is accessible via private vehicle or taxi . Nearby attractions include Daikund Peak, Chamera Dam, and John's Church .

I visited this place with my family. Overall place is fine but prices of boating are too High. I think prices should be a bit Low

Oh I loved this Dam, Rabi river. Ice water. It's too cool, very neat and clean, sweat , blueish water. The scene is very awesome. Water boating is also available there. We enjoyed the same. Half hours boating ride is very awesome. One must visit this Dam if there are at Dalhousie city.

They have 2 options - 1. Motor boat (400 per person for 30 minutes) 2. Speed boat (500 per person for 8 minutes) Only 2 motor boat and 1 speed boat was in use. Its good experience but speed boats should be increased. The experience is good in beautiful Raavi river.

Boating time is very less and lake need to be cleaned. If you don't care nature the reversal will be very scary.

Amazing serene place to have a great time with family. Boating here is not very commercialised. But it's real fun, the lake is beautiful. Do bring your own snacks while coming here.

This lake is surrounded by Hills around. One can have a memorizing Boating experience here but we don't get any ticket for boating of amount that we pay at counter.
