Blueline Restaurant - Restaurant in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

Nice place, good is great. This is on the ground floor of The promenade hotel. They serve Indian & continental dishes. I ordered a grilled snapper, what you see in the pic, it came with on a bed of mashed potatoes and spinach, nicely balanced. I ordered a butter chicken and Roti for my son, it was nice it wasn't the typical industrial action variety butter chicken that leaves red colour on your fingers.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Promenade hotel. We had ordered a seafood pizza and fresh lime soda. The food tasted really good but the service left a lot to be desired. The oregano and chili flakes had to be asked for. The fresh lime soda came very late, and we had to remind them thrice. The fresh lime soda was there ready for them to be picked up, it seems. We asked for the bill, and even that we had to remind them thrice. The servers are helpful and friendly, but the speed wasn't what is desired considering the restaurant wasn't even that crowded.

Nice place to have European dinner. Plenty of space outside and inside. Waiters are nice and helpful. Overall food was good, but this is the only restaurant that made me order a salad, their Blueline Caesar salad is amazing.

Being a vegetarian is difficult at this place. There are hardly any options and the ones available are based on cottage cheese, tofu or cheese. Even European cuisine goes beyond that for vegetarians, in Europe! I tried to customise a meal for myself based on the available options in the menu itself but they couldn't help with it. Not recommended for vegetarians, but quite a heavenly place for non-vegetarians. The location is great, right at the promenade, the rock beach. The lights in the evening create a mesmerising view.

4 star hotel, we started with breakfast buffey on day one and ended on final dinner. It is perfect place for vegetarian food. Bhukhe ko khana dena types. Staff was very good and dressed nicely. There is a local shop nearby, must visit.

Hopeless manager. Totally unprofessional service and hospitality.They don't value ones time..The manager informed us that there are few people waiting and hence we will need to wait an hour or so left our phone numbers so that he could call us once its vacant...We waited for 2-3hours but he didn't have the courtesy to give us a ring although it was fully vacant. A gentle feedback to the management of the restaurant to kindly keep an eye on such insincere and unprofessional staff that ruins your hotels reputation.Please value ones time..

We tried their outdoor restaurant (They have an Asian restaurant on the roof top but won't serve those here. More on this later). This was more of their North Indian spread and had few Continental dishes as well. This is right on the Rock Beach but no views though. Service was good but food was expensive.

Legitimately the best restaurant around. This spot gives extraordinary service and yummy meals. Delicious food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. The staff does an amazing job of describing anything on the menu. I had ordered Tequila chicken pasta and undoubtedly I can say that it was one of the best pastas I have ever had. The food was absolutely exquisite. Ruhani Murgh Dum Biriyani was also delicious. Mango cheese cake was so yum. Can totally recommend it.
