What a surprise. This is one of the well maintained beaches in the country. However, finding the beach is a bit tricky. You might end up to some fishing dock. This beach is on the way pass the Taj fisherman Cove resort. Please take a left , when you see the board that says Taj fisherman Cove resort. At present the location is run by government and they charge Rs20 as entrance fee and Rs10 for two wheelers. Please beware of the sand at your parking place. You can easily get your wheels stuck in the loose sand . This beach has well maintained toilet. Watch towers with watch guards, first aid room, solar power, small canteen for a nice snack . The beach is clean and well maintained. I would recommend it for a friend.
Newly formated Blue flag Kovalam beach is wonderfully designed to cover all varaities of people and have all amenities.
Having a small park, food spot, beach huts, surfing school, toilets and all basic things.
Huge parking is available for four wheelers and two wheelers separately.
Nominal entry fee Rs.20 for entry Rs.10 & Rs.50 for parking.
Also you can do proper photo shoot by paying the fee mentioned for it.
Perfect place for evening hangout with friends or family.
This is one of the best place to visit in kovalam, especially in the early mornings. Well constructed with ample parking space. They have bamboo based recliners and benches to sit with friends and families. Also, they have neat and clean restrooms, changing rooms, showers etc., which can be used by people who take bath in the beach, or who does surfing, kayaking etc.
Overall a good place to spend time in weekends.
I had a very pleasant feel and it's a perfect place to visit has family and enjoy birthday parties with your friends. But If you are a beach foodie then this place is not for you. I suggest this place to those who wants to enjoy clean, pleasant view and a peaceful beach atmosphere.

They are laying pathways and road to the beach, bamboo recliners for 2 people and family are a welcome addition., life guard towers with a first aid room are ready at present while other amenities are coming up, at present the beach entrance is Rs. 20, parking charges for car is Rs. 50.

Not properly maintained. Thermocol, plastic, whole coconut (after performing some rituals, tide with red thread) water bottle, beer bottles are sighted.
Fishermen area. Fishing boats, nets on the sea shore. From the shore one can have the view of Temple, Mosque & Church at a time.
Really a wonder to see that, people of all religion living together.
During my visit, some celebration was being performed in the temple, mantras were audible through loud speakers, from mosque their Namaz time, prayer in tamil by them was also audible. Fortunately, they day happens to be Friday, that too Good Friday and also 2 days before full moon day evening the tides/waves are at their full throttle.
Imagine, that's #incredibleIndia.
