Bluebell Women's Hostel - Working Women's Hostel in Kakkanad - Ernakulam, India

I recently had a disappointing experience at this women's hostel. Firstly, there was a substantial increase in rent without any prior notice, which was both unexpected and frustrating. To make matters worse, there was an unannounced unavailability of the water purifier for drinking purposes, making it inconvenient for residents. Day by day the quality of food is also getting worse. Essential amenities need significant improvement.

Poor experience. They are increasing the hostel fees randomly without upgrading any facilities. Even the drinking water provided is of very poor quality; it causes difficulties while asking for purifiers; they are not supposed to do that, and provides unsatisfactory reasons. The behavior of the owners are very poor towards the inmates. They are coming only to collect fees and increase the rent. Never listen to the concerns of inmates. They provide hygiene rooms, and the workers are cleaning them every day. The food is average.

Greedy owner alert..... The hostel charges are very high. Normal people cannot afford the money. I stayed there for about a month and was planning to vacate on January 1st. When I went on that day morning they told to pay 500/- as room rent for that day....! I told I haven't had stayed or eaten anything from there but they told as your bags are here you should pay the amount. I was shocked. They even refused to give me the caution deposit telling I haven't informed about vacating before a month. Literally greedy the owner is. They run this as a business and I felt the owner as a heartless person. When the nearby hostels only charge half the price if the inmate is not staying for a month, this greedy owner only reduces 700/- in the name of food cut. The inmates even get sick by food poisioning several times. Wifi is also not working properly. I suggest better not to stay there if you doesn't want all this to happen.

They doesn't make much reduction in hostel fees even if you don't stay in the hostel for even months.

Bad experience...... Poor place....warden Warden bad talk, no manners, no one should go and give a heads up... Small rooms..

It's a woman hostel. Single, two sharing, four sharing and six sharing are available types. 3 time interval food available ( breakfast lunch dinner). There is its own staff for cooking and food preparations. The quality of food is above average. Both veg and non veg available. CCtv camera is there for safety precautions. Free wifi but not an excellent signal strength. It's just ok for people who have IT related jobs (for work from home situations). They will change 50/- for using the washing machine. They are not following strict rules so there is a comfort for girls who wish to go late. I heard some complaints about food quality ( reported food poisoning and some issues). One of the good PG's in the kakkanad area. Good to stay but tough to access and the walking place to the hostel was not as as much brighter (need to fix lights in streets)
