Blue Lake, Mitrapur - Swimming lake in Balasore - Baleshwar, India

It is located at mitrapur in Balasore district. Water here appears blue/ bluish green due to the stone and gravels below the water which are reflected by sun rays. It was basically a place where mining was done and now due to stone colour the water is colourful. Good place to visit . Govt should take initiatives to improve the place so that more tourists can visit the place.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It seems the lake contains a lot of blue green algae, phytoplankton that makes the color of the lake so very beautiful, almost bluish green, just mind blowing. Local people says the lake has formed due to excavation work during the construction of road beside the hill. The soothing view will take your breath away.

It was once a mining place, which filled up with water after heavy rain thus becoming a lake.. a scenic marvel. Good place to visit with friends for casual picnics and outings. The area is very beautiful during the evening.

A beautiful scenic place which looks so amazing and refreshing. It is located near to Mitrapur, Remuna, Balasore. It is an artificial water body which is created due to regular mining. It is close to Nilagiri Hills and filled with water everytime of the year. During evening the spot looks so beautiful as the sun sets and rays falling on the hill gives a scenic beauty. Also, this is a picnic spot where people have their picnic during winter season.
