Black Buck Deer Sanctuary - Animal park in Chhapar - Churu, India

A well maintained wild life Sanctuary specially for conservation of black bucks. Black bucks are everywhere and best time to go is early morning (7 to 10 am) and best season is winters The sanctuary area is mostly covered by grasses with a very few trees and open grassland with scattered Acacia which give it an appearance of a typical savana (Africa ). You can enjoy your trip walking, tanga (horse carriage , or by personal 4-wheeler). Also famous for Siberian migratory birds during winters. Highly recommended if you are visiting any nearby towns.

The tanga ride is unique. It is a wonderful place to show children the colors of nature.

A good place to visit. It is a very large area where you can find deer everywhere. Since this area is under Churu district, it is advised not to visit there in May-June months. Entry fees is nominal there. When you enter in "Taal", there is a big cage in which they keep some deer. You can feed them, click photos there, luckily you can touch them. In the rainy season, a Siberian bird also visit there. Local area people call them "Kurja". They take fly in V shape. It looks wonderful. Somewhere you find Nilgai too. It is advised to keep food and water with you. You can have a small one day picnic with family, friends there. Please don't harm them.

It's one of the best locations in Rajasthan to spot and explore migratory birds ,Falcons,Antelopes, Reptiles and other exotic species!Those willing to spend a night can do so by booking a room at the Forest Guest House.This place was once the " Hunting grounds " for the Bikaner Royals.The " Hunting Lodge" known as Lal Kothi now houses a School and is right adjacent to the sanctuary.

This is the best place to see the Black Buck Deer in Rajasthan. The place is perfect and can be seen as equal to the forest land of typical African forest.

It's before you reach to village, Go for tanga ride( horse), or Jeep if the weather is cool otherwise go for your car if you have. About 3000 deer, neel cow, and pigs are thr. And very few colourful birds. Do not throw any kind of plastic inside. Carry some biscuit packets so that you can feed deer.

One of awesome sancutry, one can see deer, black buck, birds, fox, pigs n many mores every where. Only for nature lovers.
