Bishop's House - Religious destination in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

Lovely place with lots of greenery. Quiet and serene. The bishops house is on the right, but visitors are allowed only into the museum on the left. Price per adult ticket is Rs20. Not many people visit so it's worth going and seeing the old artefacts. There is apparently underneath the museum building remnants of what was fort Kochi and there is also an underground tunnel which has now since been closed.

We happened to make an unplanned stop here just to admire the building, which by the way you are not allowed to see up close. But discovered there was a museum on the premises. Turned out to be interesting, it's largely a collection representative of the church and spread of Christianity in the area. There is a nominal entry fee, it maybe a little higher for foreigners though I did not check on that. I'd not recommend going to Fort Kochi only to check the museum but if you are in the neighborhood it could be one of the stops if there is time. It turned out to be interesting also because Joseph who manages the ticket counter walked us through a few things, which we'd not get by just seeing the displays.

Good, calm place to walk around and has a very informative museum.

Nicely maintained place. Has a small museum. You can skip this place if you are on a time crunch.
