BIRD PARK - Bird watching area in Puducherry, Royapudupakkam - Villupuram, India

Must visit, this was the best part of my Auroville visit. This is a Hanuman temple and they have different animals like cows, horses and a lot of parrots. You have to pay 100 rupee per person if you want to go inside bird cage and interact with the birds, but I think once you experience this you will donate more then 100 rupees. The caretaker was extremely polite. The road to this place is a little scary, but that is true for most of the places in Auroville.

A small place where you could spend ample amount of time with birds.We could also spot some ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, cows and calves along with two small horses. Don't forget to take kids with you because these birds loves kids a bit more and nips with love. There is a lot of need for improvement but still a very good experience. Mr.Sugar briefly explains about the birds and helps you to connect with them easily.

I must say for a small place, they are doing a great job. Very colourful birds. It's great experience for one to hold the birds and feed them, for all stuck in a routine life and entertainment is either theatre, malls, this can be a refreshing experience to feel the inner joy. The way the turkeys make sounds was so good, my child who is 3.7 yrs thoroughly enjoyed clucking with the Turkeys. Elder in our family also enjoyed the experience, laughing by the tickles that these birds give. One point to keep in mind the travel might be little difficult on the bumpy roads as the place is located in a an interior village, but definitely worth visiting. Not to forget the ducks, horse, cows and cute calfes added charm to the place. Great to see people providing shelter , food, care and so much love for these birds and animals. Do visit them and support.

This place is like a home with big parrots cage where they grow and teach them. There are even horses, turkeys, and swans here. You can explore all of this for free, except for the parrot cage, which costs hundred rupees to enter. Kids get in for free! Inside the parrot cage, these colorful birds will fly over and even land on your hands, shoulders, and head. They give you seeds to feed the parrots, which is so much fun for children. The place might not be super clean, and the road leading to it is quite narrow. Just follow Google Maps, and you'll find a big blue gate that leads to a temple-like building. I'm giving it 4 stars not for the place itself but for the amazing experience and the warm hospitality they provide. Kids will absolutely love it here!

This place isn't very famous yet. When I reached the destination I thought we went to the wrong address. The entry fee is 100/ person and it's totally worth it. You get to hold the food and birds come on to your hand. It was a great experience!

Had a fun time with birds. I had never experienced this much closeness to birds before. My kids also enjoyed a lot. There are turkeys, ducks, horses(lava&Kusha) too.. It's a great initiative to rescue abandoned pets and taking care.. I wish them all success for their future endeavours..

This place is a bird lovers paradise. My kid enjoyed a lot spending lovely time with the birds. A small fee of 100 per person which totally helps the owner to maintain the birds. Once you stepped inside the aviary, the birds will serenade you. You can easily spend more time here. Highly recommended to visit. This place is not famous yet and we went on a weekday, so we are the only persons there.
