Big Belly - South Indian restaurant in Jorethang - West District, India

This small beautiful restaurant offers fresh and good Oriental cuisine. Interior is very nice. They have big glass windows, you can enjoy the view of busy road while having your meal. People are very friendly and humble. Food is really flavourful. They also have very neat and clean washroom. Only one problem that is this place is on first floor. And if you are traveling and select this place as a break, you have to carry your luggage through a narrow staircase, but if you travelling with your own personal vehicle then it is OK. We had some delicious chicken dumplings, mixed fried rice and stir fried chicken.

Vegetarian food was good. The non-vegetarian dishes were average. Chicken had no flavour. Comparatively faster service than other restaurants in South Sikkim.

A nice little family joint with delicious food...if you are starving after reaching Jorethang....THIS IS THE PLACE

Visited in June 2022 and literally had the worst experience with service, quality of food and the owners. They were not ready to take orders even after 40 mins of waiting and the club sandwich was not even grilled properly. Veg burger did not have any patty and just the same stuffing as sandwich. Owners were uncooperative and very rude with tourists and I had to finally leave the restaurant for them to come and take the bill. All of this happened when the restaurant was not even operating at 50% capacity. Highly Disappointing.

Tried a few dishes, the best thing for Rs100 was the momo, there was the chow mein that was a large portion. But other than that the burger, the milkshake and salads were just average. Could make the same stuff at home and bigger.

I ordered 1 chicken momo and 1 bottle of maaza . It cost 180. I waited 20 mins still momo served was not hot but Tasted good. It has enough space for family and has good ambience. I will visit this place once again and update my rating accordingly.

The service was quick and the food was good. The momos were exceptional. It's right in jorethang market, but it's on the first floor and the staircase isn't leading to it isn't easily apparent. It's not too expensive either. We stopped here on our way to Siliguri from Pelling. Overall a great place for lunch. Would definitely recommend.
