Have visited this place a couple of times. Mornings in October and November are the best time. The flower farms around the temple are at full bloom adding another level of beauty. It is a great destination for cycling trip as well though advance level. Even though invaders have damaged it the temple is serene and beautiful. The entrance to temple is unique. I will it spill the beans. Visit to see it yourself Note: the pavement are made of black rock. They might become hot at noon and evening. Please take care of you are visiting late in the evening
This is Shiva temple located on top of a hill. Beautifully made, nice architecture, cleanliness. Seems quite ancient, constructed with heavy stones. They offer food as prasad during afternoon
Best example of Indian architecture. A spiritually rich environment. You'll certainly experience peace of mind after visiting this temple. Historically glorified and has very detailed carvings allover the temple.
A most beautiful and a must visit serene location. Idol worshipped is Shiva. Believed to be constructed about 1200 years back (8th century). One could see a mix of culture depicted in sculptures and the architecture, from both South and Northern style. Though many statues are broken, the idols are carved in very systematic way and are par excellent, showing the brilliance, concentration and hard work by the shilpis of yesteryear. One can observe many identical carvings without even a minute difference between them. Great.
Lord Shiva temple situated on a hill and was built between 8th and 15th century. There are classical carvings on the walls depicting ancient Indian architecture, temple has ample parking space for both 2 and 4 wheelers, has fruit and artifact shop and the base of temple. Washrooms are available and well maintained. Flower farms around the and near the temple when fully bloomed are a beautiful sight to see.
It was a pretty pleasant experience, and the sculptures there are quite old. a very serene and calming atmosphere. I went on a weekend, and it wasn't busy. Highly recommend location close to Pune. Also it has a restaurant nearby so we can have refreshments there.
The location is very good. The temple is carved beautifully.love the place. inside the temple you will find peace .
Very beautiful temple. Its uphill but there's a dirt road you can take. Photography is not allowed inside but I couldn't resist to capture at least a section of this architecture. Very serene and peaceful. They have a big fair during Mahashivratri. And there's a huge queue to pray lord Shiva. Rest of the time of the year it is not busy. There are lots of frangipani trees around. The sunset is a view to behold !
