The surrounding is very quiet and soothing as it is very far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The temple is undergoing major renovation lately. Overall the place is well maintained and clean. If you visit Kamakhya Temple do visit this place as it will take hardly 15 mins.
Wat a place. Total peace. Probably d highest point of guwahati. Just loved it. If u planning to sit relax n meditate just visit once. Listening to birds chirping temple bells ringing n view d Brahmaputra river from such a height, is complete different experience. Its just above Kamakhya Mandir which is too crowded n noisy but dis place no one visits so still untouched n peaceful.
