The rooms and bathrooms are not at all properly cleaned. The taps weren't working in the bathroom and we were unable to close the bathroom door. Rooms were dirty and not cleaned. Bedsheets were dirty.
Service was worst and not at all supportive. Food quality has dropped down very badly as compared to initial days.
The owner of this hotel should be aware of these incidents.
Recently visited Bhorer Alo, awesome experience during my stay in first floor suite room in front. Rooms are fairly large, serene atmosphere make our trip memorable. Food is also good and the courteous staff is always ready to serve your need. Have a nice playground for kids.
Clean rooms and beds. Lovely small resort. Shonajhuri Haat is about 8 km from here, Viswabharati is about 7.
Mornings, take a walk to the nearby village to see how they make Patali Gur.
We visited this guest house in the month of October 2019. The rooms are basic and maintained properly. The property is not outstanding but ok ok. The food preparation is done based on your requirements and its good.
There is a large lawn in front of the rooms and one can have food in the small huts built on the edge of the lawn.
The area is pretty deserted in the evenings. So after you return from the visit to Shantiniketan, there is very little to do other than have an early dinner and retire to bed.
Google Maps shows two Bhorer Alo hotels. So if you are relying on Google then make sure you reach the one in 'Daronda'.
There is parking place for two cars inside the compound walls and ample car par, king space outside.
The internal road from the highway to the guest house(around 1 km or so) is very narrow. So if you are in a big vehicle please drive carefully as the hens and goats keep crossing the road frequently.
Good hotel. Bit a far from santinikatan city. Have to have own car or bike. Food are really good. But only bengali food. Parking is decent. Good garden. Small shadow room in garden. Good service.
The place is extremely good. The people there make you feel like home. They try to cook whatever you like.
Pleasant stay, pleasant location, good behaviour, good food, but no intercom, very poor wi fi, ac remotes don't work, toilets have no wiper and bin box, geyser not ok at all rooms.
Situated little ahead of Shantiniketan-Vedia crossing, another offbeat weekend getaway near Kolkata and is a cluster of untouched forests and homestays with winding village roads. The indigenous feel you can Indulge yourself into with the amidst of green to sooth your eyes.If you are in into primeval serenity and want to relish the same with utmost luxury, this is the place you should barge in.
As far the food and hospitality is concern, you can't be swindled here, Thanks to Mr. Amit Dawn who owns this settlement and Utpal, the guy who looks after your amenities with smart and smiley approach.
The food menu suggests a pricey affair , but they are flexible with your Mix-and-Match combination. But their authentic veg menu is worth of price and presentation is state-of-the-art
The establishment is bit far from Bolpur station (12-to 15 KM) and the Viswabharati campus (6-7 KM) as well, and need to hire a cab or SUV (based on the members) if you need roam around the Shantiniketan and Khoayi. But for a pleasant stay with your books and music wont cause you hassle .
TIP : If you are into long drives, can opt for Kenduli (JAYDEB) and Konakalitola for a day tripG
I reached here yesterday (13-08-2023). Quite place, a huge space for parking. A secured campus.
I loved the environment and the accommodation provided by them.
The foods are awesome.
You will get Thalis at lunchtime & will have to opt for a la carte
A very good place indeed. Was there with family and everyone loved it.
Very big property, neat and clean.
Full of greenery and lot of space to run around for the kids.
Home made food avaliable which is nice..
One more positive is WIFI was available..
Loved everything about the place. Went there to unwind ourselves from the crowd and the place was just perfect. A huge property with lots of greenery surrounded by greenery what else we would have asked for.....
We have been thinking of visiting Shantiniketan area for a long time. After staying at Udasin we came to the conclusion it was really worth waiting for this visit. Our stay was relaxing, peaceful and very happy enjoyable with our friends. The house
