The Bhoothathankettu dam is really a good tourist spot in Ernakulam district. ** Behind the name - The old people here believed that the dam was build was monsters ( bhootham ) and thus the name. * Now the vehicle transport through the dam is restricted because of the new bridge parallel to the dam. The view of the dam ( when the shutter is opened ) from the new bridge is quite a view. * Old times there were no entry fee to see the dam. But now if you are deviating to the dam road from the park the there will be entry ticket.
