Bhojohori Manna - Bengali restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

Bhajohari Manna is one of the best known places for traditional Bengali food. We visited their Hatibagan branch. They serve a wide variety of fish and other Bengali dishes and prices were reasonable. The taste of the foods were good if not exceptional, all the foods served were fresh specially the fish items. But they don't serve any non veg thali for dine in, but take away option is available.

This is my first visit in this restaurant and I will say that this is my worst experience ever i have in my life . We visited there only for bangali thali but they said we stopped serving it and they asked us to place the order separately. We do the same thing and they serve Biriyani which is only rice and boiled mutun and when we asked the manager he said this is our Biriyani and we make like that only. Trust me this is the worst Biriyani of my life and I will recommend all of you don't waste your money in this restaurant don't go there anymore.

Ok now let me say about this place... The fact is sitting capacity very poor very bad staff behavior.... And food quality very specially dub chingri... And quantity very low........ Worst place Never visit again.

Really liked their dishes.... Specially the sukto and lau chingri... price is a bit high ..overall a good experience....Highly recommended

It's better not to compare with any other restaurants cause Bhojohori Manna itself is an unique brand of Bengali foods. Each and every items are more than delicious. And their service is very efficient. Staffs are humble and well behaved. They consider your needs and deliver the orders properly.

Unknown because the service was so weird. Was it a language issue? Was it because it was end of lunch rush? Do they not like explaining anything or updating their menu? Was I not dressed high-status enough? Firstly, the place looks great. Secondly, the menu was extensive. Thirdly, they have plenty of vegetarian dishes in that section. But, I found the staff and even the manager very impatient and unhelpful. I really wanted to try a selection of Bengali vegetarian special dishes. So, I asked for a platter of samples of the nine. "Individual only" OK, ready to move on I adked fir seceral in a riw that I gad looked up and appealed to me. A third they did not have today. There is no updatable in chaulk or marker wall menu and the menu is only words, albeit in English. Finally, because I wasn't ready to order immediately and deciclsively I was ignored in favour of newly arriving couples and groups. They do not understand nor cater to the needs of western tourists unfamiliar with Bengali cuisine here.

Visited there for having authentic Bengali cuisine. We tried its signature dish daab chingri. It was good like I enjoyed it. It was sweet as expected. Also you will find lots of verities in fish curries. Must try its dessert mango doi which was so creamy and delicious.
