Bhojohori Manna - Bengali restaurant in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas North, India

We went on a Sunday Lunch and we were late ... To our surprise the food was available at 3.45 pm but not the max item as it was sold out. Thali was sold out. We decided for alacart and went for fish fry, Bhetli Roll --it was good Luchi, Mutton kossa ---it was good Bhetki Paturi --it was good, but the flavor was very strong Prawn malai-- it was so so Chicken dakbunglow --it was so so Basanti Polao--good Over all experience was good. Since they don't cook their food here, so it may be not warm.

The quantity of the food is so less. It's for all the food items. What is the logic of giving 3 pieces of non veg items? It's only to make the customer order another plate of the dish. The quality is no doubt top class, but the quantity overshadows it. 1 more thing...1 pc Luchi costs Rs20 (facepalm) Coming to the staffs, without even asking you they will keep mineral water bottle on the table. They are more interested in Watching the television rather than focusing on the customers. Lot of scope for improvement!

As of bengali food taste, it's the best. But quantity of the items served is small. As the price of single pice of hilsa was Rs. 650/-, it's too high to me. But anyhow for the taste of the food, I go at least once in a year.

Well decorated and clean place. The Bengali and Indian food items are delicious. The thali is very reasonable for 1 person or 1 adult and 1 child. Dishes are well cooked and fresh.

Food was pre-ordered and service was fast, efficient and friendly. Everything was delicious . This restaurant (it has a few branches in the city, but this one is the best) serves Authentic Bengali cuisine at a very reasonable pocket pinch. The service is very prompt and I always tend to order more than I can consume ! They have some speciality is Dhakai biriyani, Chital Machher muitha, muri ghonto etc, which are simply awesome.

Place is nice , food is also good. But I ordered daab chingri and the prawn was kind of raw , but the staffs are nice and they cancelled that from my bill .

Today they were only offering veg and non veg thali but you cannot order from ala carte. The veg thali got sold out around 7pm itself. So no option for vegetarian and that was a bummer. The quantity/portion is less. If you ordered a thali you can only ask for extra rice by paying a charge but you cannot order any other item even when you are ready to pay. Who came up with this weird logic? If I want to have an extra mishti doi with my thali, they want me to order another thali? Nonsense.

We liked the food here in terms of taste however the price felt a little out of value but again, maybe it's in a mall so we're also paying for the high rent and taxes. The service is decent but could be better. The main issue is cleanliness and hygiene. The floor had visible oil smeared on it and the tables were badly stained. Otherwise, it's a good place to eat Bengali food. PS: we are vegetarian Bengalis and the veg options are very nice.
