Bhivkund Dam,better known as Zilpi lake...place of fun. One can visit on weekends for trekking, and also a good place for photography. Nice calm and peaceful atmosphere around the lake,,it is advisable not to go into the waters, since it very deep. It looks more breathtaking during rainy season.
Beutiful location Near to city,i m visiting here since Decades, please be aware of lakes and water stay away, enjoy only outside, surrounded with nature, pure climate, fresh
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bhivkund Dam and Zilpi Lake in Nagpur, and I must say, it was a truly enchanting experience. As a nature enthusiast, I couldn't have asked for a better destination to reconnect with the great outdoors. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding nature. The serene atmosphere, coupled with the lush greenery and pristine waters, instantly put me at ease. Bhivkund Dam is an engineering marvel, providing not only a scenic view but also a sense of wonder at human ingenuity. Zilpi Lake, with its crystal-clear waters, mirrored the blue sky above, creating a mesmerizing reflection that's a photographer's dream come true. The untouched natural surroundings lend an aura of tranquility to the place, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The best part about Bhivkund Dam and Zilpi Lake is that it caters to all types of visitors. Whether you're an adventure seeker looking to trek and explore the nearby hills or someone who simply wants to bask in the beauty of nature, this place has something for everyone. The hospitality of the locals added to the charm of the visit. They were friendly and warm, always ready to share tales of the area's rich history and culture. I felt truly welcomed and embraced by the community. I highly recommend Bhivkund Dam and Zilpi Lake to anyone seeking a refreshing escape amidst nature's wonders. It's a perfect spot for family outings, picnics with friends, or even a solo retreat to unwind and recharge. The memories I made here will stay with me forever, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in or around Nagpur, don't miss the opportunity to explore this hidden gem. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Happy adventuring! (Note: Always check for the latest safety guidelines and entry requirements before planning your visit.)
The place is really beautiful. Not to mention, its a little extra crowded with local Heroes. I am taking 1 star off as I couldn't observe single security personnel to care for visitors safety and prevent possible heroic charades. Authorities to care on this point!
Fevarate place of mine whenever I bored so I go for half day to refresh mind. Calm natural peace, small lake of irrigation department, mountain view, and you can see here trees inside water, around greenery..
The drive to this place is what I like the most. During rainy season it is a nice picnic spot. But the downside to this place is that there are no toilet facility, no food vendors etc. So one has to carry his own food. There is small lake on one side. A privately owned dates farm just close by Jhilpi Lake is a must visit.
Best place to Visit with friends only if you are going to zilpi Lake. You can spend 1 hour easily here. There is only Dam and No Other Facilities. You will have to do a bit of offroading.
Bhivakund dam offers an exquisite natural sanctuary, allowing visitors to relish breathtaking sunsets. The harmonious blend of lush greenery, melodic bird songs, and the tranquil murmur of mini waterfalls makes it a rejuvenating haven for nature enth
Great place for weekend to enjoy picnic with friends n family with beautiful lake close to.... There is beautiful religious god Ganesha temple to purify one heart with beautiful garden attach to it ..which make its surrounding sacred and loves by pho
