Ruins and a gateway. While there is little to see it is nice walking around and seeing the carvings and layout
The city is the most beautiful ancient building with temples . Those who are interested in history must visit with study . The beauty with the amazing structure that I have ever seen in my entire life. First visit vitthal temple for 50/- note photo . Then you can go to the bheem temple , lotas mahal , kunda Last visit at the main temple , experience the beauty of nature. Narasimha temple, ganesh temple, mahadev mandir , Krishna bajar . Many more unique places . Personally and mostly suggested by me .. must visit once in your life, you will never forget this experience
One of the strategically designed gateways.. this doesn't offer a straight entry for enemies. One has to maneuver & dodge the Stone walls to gain access to inner places. This deters enemies coming on elephants.
Its just some stones nothing very special. The archeological site around was Amazing :)
The gate (a huge arch complex) is interesting with its style of construction and the carvings on it. This gateway is a classic example of the Vijayanagara military architecture. The gate got its name from the legendary Bhima of the Hindu epic Mahabaratha. A figure of Bhima - the strongest of the five Pandavas brothers - is carved on the gate. There an impressive carving of Bhima with a flower called Saugandhika. See the Saugandhika flower episode for the narrative of this story. The interesting feature of the gate is its smart design. One cannot cross this archway in a straight line. You enter this gateway complex through its western arch. Straight ahead is a huge tall block of a wall like structure. You turn right, left and then once again left to go around this obstruction to reach the exit at the north.
Here only one Bheema idol still Pooja is doing I think by someone at a time.. Good location for a pic when there is greenery..

Great temple. I bought special darshna tickets for it otherwise you may not even see inside if the place is crowded. We did feed fishes as well in the pond there.
Amazing taste Out of other places for breakfast I would surely choose this place again. They provided us very good & fast service. The Idlis were very fluffy and medu wada was also delicious. If you are nearby Verupaksha temple do visit.
My partner and I went for full body massage at the SIDHA Ayurveda spa, and we both had a completely amazing experience. My partner had a massage from Sunil and I was massaged by his female colleague. This was the best massage of my life! Sunil and hi
The host is kind and welcoming. Food was freshly made, tasty and served on time. Rooms are clean and comfortable with AC and hot water. Overall Vinayaka Homestay was a good place to stay over.
This great historical site offers so much information about South India and their various importance. Yes it's a tedious walk around for about 4-5 km which is in form of a circuit, but that's the part where you feel like walking in the history, and e
